Ethical standards in ECG contribute to protection of the assets ECG. Importance of ethical behavior is reflected by the extent of safeguarding the assets of the organization by the employees. If the employees are proud of the ethical standards existing in their workplace, then they are likely to express pride in ECG assets.
Treating the employees with dignity along with respect makes them proud of their workplace and therefore improving their conduct in the work stations. Ethical standards in ECG shall eliminate the possibilities for stuffing the charges labor along with expense accounts. The workplace, rest rooms and break areas at ECG are kept tidy as a sign of satisfaction. The employees do not take unnecessary breaks and sick leaves and the facilities of the company are used efficiently (Gini, 2005, 167).
Ethical standards in ECG shall also contribute to minimal cases of theft in terms of time and overall production which consequently reduces the overhead charges that ECG may encounter. This consequently leads to the improvements in initiative, the level of professionalism, the extent of customer respect, reputation, employees’ attitude, their spirit as well as drive.
Ethical standards in ECG facilitate for an environment in which employees are highly valued and therefore they are treated with utmost respect fairness, equality as well as dignity. The performance of the employees is thus associated with unquestionable ethics together with integrity. Ethical standards promote efficiency, productivity and cooperation while enhancing a culture of working together as a professional team, with consideration for the rights and the interests of others. Ethical standards in ECG help to instill a sense of security to the employees with respect to their job as they perform their duties in the workplace. Ethical standards in ECG also facilitate for a sense of being mindful to the employees so as they can be able to attend to the family responsibilities (Baumhart, 1961, 145).

The code of conduct is a potent message to the members as well as the people who are directly influenced by the ECG. A comprehensive code of conduct to guide organizational activities is an important resource which should be tailored for the use of leaders as well as the managers in ECG. These are the people with the responsibilities of making sure that the ethical practices are withheld in their organizations. A comprehensive code of conduct for ECG activities should be straightforward as well as a practical tool that is best suited for the leaders and the managers to facilitate the implementation of comprehensive systems of ethics management in ECG workplace. The code of conduct should be used as the system of dealing with the ethical issues that are complex and are encountered on daily routine in the process of running the affairs of ECG (French, 1984, 124).
Developing comprehensive code of conduct for ECG is the best avenue to facilitate the provision of guidance to the expectations of the entire employee fraternity in ECG, the agents, consultants, contract labor, and Board of Directors members among others during representation of ECG or acting on its behalf. The comprehensive code of conduct should also facilitate for fair as well as adequate compensation to the employees of ECG. The Code of Business Conduct sets forth specific Corporate Policies governing the conduct of the business of the ECG Company. These policies were developed and are intended to be applied in good faith with reasonable business judgment to enable the ECG Company to achieve its operating and financial goals in compliance with all applicable Laws (Goodin, 1985, 67).
Developing comprehensive code of conduct for ECG shall facilitate for a positive response to some problems that may arise. They also serve as the public face of ECG, in which case its ethics and the motive of existence are identified to the outsiders. ECG is able to compare itself with other organizations through the use of its comprehensive code of conduct. The publicity of ECG is also increased in a manner that more clients are attracted to the organization leading to its growth. Developing comprehensive code of conduct for ECG is also used as a damage control in the situations that ECG falls in bad light.
