Kutiyattam

The origin of Kutiyattam can be traced back approximately two millennia. Kutiyattam is an important form of theatre because Kutiyattam performers are renowned and prominent Indian Sanskirt dramatists. Kutiyattam has always been perceived as highly placed theaters on international standards and has attracted the attention of many scholars in theatres. Most outstandingly, Kutiyattam was acknowledged as the “Masterpieces of the Oral as well as Intangible Heritage of Humanity.” by UNESCO.

Ramila
