A patient-centered approach to care has become increasingly relevant throughout the world and represents a need to enable patients to recognize their rights within the inpatient setting. Many hospitalized patients are unaware of their own advantages with respect to a bill of rights; therefore, they must be examined more closely and provide further evidence of patient knowledge and how to improve their understanding of their own rights within the patient care setting. Since the inception of universal human rights in the mid-20^th Century, the rights of patients have also come into question and represent a need to further examine the needs of these individuals in countries such as Saudi Arabia, where patient rights are less well known and acknowledged. This requires an examination of the different aspects that impact patient perspectives and determine which steps are required to address privacy and issues involving medical records.

Based upon the study results, a moderate number of patients are able to recognize their own rights; therefore, this requires sound and reasonable judgment in order to effectively manage and expand patient education in order to provide further evidence to patients of their rights in the inpatient setting. Patient recovery is often contingent upon their degree of knowledge regarding their own rights; therefore, these considerations must demonstrate a focus on patient care quality and competency in treating patients effectively. It is expected that technology and other tools must be influential for nurses and physicians in order to provide additional protection for patients in need. These concerns demonstrate that patient rights must be determined by the overall ability of an organization to inform its patients regarding the bill of rights and to take the steps that are required to improve patient outcomes through informational means. In addition, it requires a dedicated and focused group of professionals in order to inform patients of their rights and to determine what is required to facilitate successful results.
