Any cultural fundamentals that to some extend can affect the observed phenomena is referred to us cultural variables, this is studied from political initiatives and the macro economical clarification to artistic. Mostly, most anthropologists tend to work with defined set of variables in attempt to systematize the cultural variables. Cultural knowledge or cultural awareness is essentially becoming vital in current global economy. It is worth noting that as people interact and take part in doing business, cultural differences becomes more acute since people are working across cultural boundaries. However, this essay will provide basic tips for those people who have staged their business in Hungary and Belarus; it will mainly deal with two aspects that are cultural and social factors.

It is worth noting that the Hungarians are quite hierarchical and that for any merchant to be able to do business in Hungary, he or she will need to have knowledge of the appropriate titles available (Belarus 17). Social environment goes to the extent of affecting the titles of individuals such as Mr. and Mrs. in the Hungarian country. It follows that the above gears up the fact that those who have intention of doing business in Hungary should acknowledge the use of titles with surname.

On cultural point of view, the most prominent value of culture in Hungary is collectivism and individualism. In most cases, those who are doing business in Hungary usually face cultural rituals. Social and cultural values of an individual are centered on the cultural rituals. Therefore, in Hungary, it is sad to know that cultural and social values do affect business development through progress attitude. According to the study done by the Houston University, is that society that values personal gain, achievement and wealth accumulation acknowledges the level of economic development more quickly as opposed to the society that discourages groups and personal achievement. Therefore, in Hungary, it is evident that the culture and social values favors the accumulation of wealth and personal gain. The above is one of the core facts that facilitate the growth of business and so, any person who has a desire of doing business in Hungary should embrace the above with the guidance of a native person.

In Belarus, factors like culture and social do affect the running of business at a greater height. However, it is pertinent to note that culture constitutes family life, hospitality of the Belarus people, individual and collective dichotomy and all the above are distinctive in Belarus nation. Due to falling birth rates, Belarus has a small population and despite the fact that they may appear cold and reserved, they have embraced the act of giving. They have the spirit of pleasing visitors and so, doing business with them is a great success. Even though the citizens there don’t smile or greet often, one can mistake this to be a rude culture but on other hand, they are very friendly and giving, which is a positive weapon to the business men. Since they are welcoming, they are keen at showing the positive side of their culture, due to this, they don’t have otherwise. They are expected to offer a warm welcome to the visitors. Mores so, this again, is a positive impact to those who wish to stage a business venture in the Belarusian country.

Considerably, Belarus is a country that is well stabilized when it comes in textile and woods and they have a good connection with Japan. Having put that across, it is pertinent to recognize the business culture of the Belarus. It is as follows; the Belarusians prefer modest and unpretentious business meetings, and so they do appreciate it in a formal way. For any person who wishes to take business in the country should dress smartly. Another cultural factor is the decision-making and negotiation capability (Zoubir 25). Here according to the experts, they point out that the above process can be slower compared to western societies. Therefore, the above affect the businesspersons who tent to transact in Belarus whereby, they are required to slow down so that business negotiations could not bear a negative impact. In addition, they have a culture that is hierarchical business structure and so it is pertinent to respect organizational levels. Further, according to their culture it is noted that final decision maker is also the highest individual in the society. Finally, it is vital to make good relationship with the Belarus counterpart. To crown it all, this will create a good business culture and social relationship, which will act as a bridge to working with them in business.

In alliteration, this essay has dwelled upon the core social and cultural values of the business environment in both Hungary and Belarus. Both state acknowledges the fact of creation of friendships and for one to have a good business environment with them, it is advisable to have patients and respect them accordingly. As a reminder, it is wise to heed that when carrying out a international business it is pertinent to put into consideration the legal, political, economic, cultural and social factors. To crown it all, this essay focuses the effect of cultural and effect factors when doing business in Belarus and Hungary.
