Research Paper

The topic of the dissertation relates to effectiveness of speech act in the Company Communication. The aim and objectives of the research is to investigate the relationship between created from effective communication among the staff members and between the junior members of staff and their seniors, and the possible effects of such communication to the team work and how communication affects the profit of the company. In any organization, oral communication is significant for staffs and their senior to structure their relationship (Matthews & Thakkar, 2012)

Literature Review plan

Communication within the workplace is very crucial as it facilitates interaction that enhances effective performance of the basic functions in the organization. For example, a manager is able to execute the functions planning, controlling, leading and organizing through communication. On the other hand, employees work in coordination as a team through communication. Communication in the organization is the source of motivation since staff members are informed about the anticipated tasks and any clarification is also made through communication. The performance of the employees and any need for improvement is communicated to the staff. Communication in the workplace also serves as a good source of information that aids the members in the organization to make informed decisions (Fill, 2002). Alternative actions can also be identified with effective communication. The attitudes of staff members may be altered through effective communication. If a person is updated with the right information, there is a high possibility of transforming the attitudes of such a person. The management in the organization must therefore strive to use all forms of communication to enlighten the employees so that they can develop favorable attitudes in their work place. The use of magazines, meetings, journals and even oral communication are all important in achieving this objective. The process of socialization is also very important and it is effectively fostered through communication. The process of controlling people and activities in the organization is made possible by communication. The behaviors of the staff members in the organization are controlled through communication. In corporate communication, it is prudent to consider the various hierarchies that exist and use the relevant guidelines and principles that are required of all employees (Genevieve, 2007). This must be done in consideration of the organizational policies and staff members must be aware of the right approach for effective communication and airing of grievances to superiors.

Research Methodology

I will prefer the use of deductive approach to research for this research study as it will facilitate for the aggressive use of the facilities that are readily available in the library. This will be in addition to the frequent visits to multiple online databases that are likely to guide the research methodology thereby making the preparation of the final report to be effective and efficient. These are some of the most influential secondary approaches to data collection that facilitates adoption and use of the information that has been gathered in the research study which is based on extensive analysis of the materials that is gathered through online means. This is a quick and inexpensive way of gathering information but care will be taken because most of the information available from some databases may not be updated and authentic.

This will also be complemented through the use of gathering primary data which is achieved through a variety of approaches such as interviews, administering questionnaires, conducting surveys and making telephone conversations. The use of primary research is anticipated to be costly but on the other hand, any information obtained is accurate and updated. The process is also time consuming because of the requirement to involve many people in the process of gathering information (Saunders, Lewis & Thornhill, 2012).

Data Collection tool and Rationale

Several data collection tools shall be considered in the research. The use of secondary approach to research played a crucial role and majority of the information that comprised the literature review section shall rely heavily on secondary sources of data. In this regard, the most appropriate sources and channels of secondary data shall be organization magazines and journals, online articles and books as well as the previous reports made by some organization on corporate communication. I am convinced that this is a suitable data collection tool that is likely to facilitate acquisition of the required insight on corporate communication while at the same time aiding in analysis of study features that may not be studied through any other means. Documented studies are a good source of relevant information that forms the basis of the final report (Quinlan, 2011).

Other data collection tools based on primary approach to research are also important such as questionnaires, interviews and surveys. They are a basis of obtaining the views of the study participants concerning the subject matter. Any information from these tools shall serve a significant purpose in complementing and collaborating the information gathered from previously documented sources. The use of primary research approach tools for data collection will serve a very significant role in informing as well as preparing the research through addressing and covering all issues that are pertinent to the topic.
