Motivation

While in PPD 500 class, I learnt a great deal the role of motivation in changing behaviors, especially in a given organization. It is important to note that motivation of members to embrace teamwork plays a critical aspect on productivity and will determine the level of organizational success. I learnt that leaders that motivate their members to embrace teamwork in their respective workplaces have succeeded. Therefore, effective leadership will demand that leaders embrace motivation as one of the ingredients towards success. While working as an intern at the Bureau ofEconomics and Information Bureau of Zhanjiang Guangdong, China, I learned that appreciating the psychological significance of motivation assists organizations fashion healthy, supportive culture, which will enhance the realization of organizational objectives. Some of the crucial practices that may improve motivation in organization comprised of strong leadership, fair policies, as well as incentive programs (Shah and Gardner 138).

Communication

Communication plays a key role in teamwork. It brings together members by promoting understanding and tranquility. While working as a volunteer researcher at Xunwen Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development in Guangdong China, I realized that effective flow of communication steered the organization to greater heights. For teamwork to be effective, the members must communicate with each other through sharing of ideas. The intercommunication between the team members as well as with the management of the organization ensures that the encroaching issues that may dent the reputation and performance of the organization are identified and addressed accordingly (Miner 110). The team members should be encouraged to come up with innovative strategies that steers the organization to greater heights and communicate them to management. In return, the management of the organization should reward these members accordingly.
