Intersectionality is a general term used to define and insist on the consistent differences that human individuals have between each other. It could be realized that every individual is distinctively different from another based on different aspects of existence. In this particular discussion, a focus on gender differences shall be given attention to.
Giving particular attention to the situation in the United States and how Black Women are treated in the country, it could be realized how real oppression is and how much it is affecting the way women are viewed not only because of their gender characterization but because of the race that they are identified with. Most often than not these situations create a distinct picture on what the society is made up of and how much it allows itself to perceive differences among human individuals to be somewhat consistent especially when it comes to mandating a deeper sense of how humans are valued depending on the real worth of their capacity to function and not according to their stereotyped characteristics.
Women are viewed as the weaker sex; nevertheless, ever since the entrant of new age belief and perception on gender worth and value, such thinking insists on how women ought to be valued at much a higher level compared to how they were understood before. At present, women are gaining higher respect from the society, gaining better access to the opportunities that they are supposedly likely to enjoy. Nevertheless, even though this is the case, it cannot be denied that the real essence of good gender definition and recognition cannot be fully realized yet, even in the most democratic and liberal nations like the United States.
Violence against black women and the ways by which such cases go unreported and how much they are being kept within the dark in most remote areas in the US creates a definite insistence on how intersectionality and its principles have failed to implicate on the real essence of gender balance. The capacity of this study to supposedly bring about a better sense of what is noted by liberal thinking has created a better insistence on what gender balance is about, however the application of the principles it pursues create a lesser impact on the thinking process of the society.
Justice is seen to have not been completely realized through time ever since the moment that the study on intersectionality has been introduced to the society. It is seen that the weaknesses of the principle itself lies on the incapacity of the society to cooperate with the idea of defining the overall thought on general gender bias and how people ought to be treat apart from their categorization in relation to their recognizable reputation in the society. The way women are viewed according to their capacities ought to identify with how the society is supposed to give attention to how women are able to change the world accordingly.
With the world not fully understanding the real concept of gender-balance, the cooperation on how making a definite impact on how women ought to be treated through time cannot be fully refurnished and women themselves might continue to become victims of such stereotyping. Women ought to be supported by men as they take into account the possibility of improving the way the society views the value and worth of womanhood. Only through this would the justice towards women being physically abused by their partners or simply abused through different aspects of imposing control on the said individuals based on their gender and their race. Women ought to be given the proper insistence on what they could do for themselves, for their families and for the society they are living with. Only through this would their protection be improved and the way they are treated be changed accordingly.
