Essay

Jabrail was born in 7th June, 1995, in Moscow, Russia. He graduated from the American School in Switzerland in the year 2014 and got his Bachelor degree at Boston University in 2018. There he met a person named Katie Atanasova and married her. They returned to their families in Moscow, Russia. There he became a finance associate in Citigroup while his wife became an entrepreneur. He retired at the age of 65. In 2085 he died due to the heart illness at Bakulev Scientific Center for Cardiovascular Surgery.

Interests of Jabrail included gardening, family, reading and sports. Much of his time he devoted to his career. His smile and charm enlightened any moment. Mr.Novruzov survived by her brother and sister; 2 spouses and sons; 8 grandchildren. Jabrail Novruzov spent his spent his remaining life years in the company of his wife.

Funeral Service

The Funeral Service initiates with the three stanzas chanting from the verses of Psalm 119. During this chanting, the priest censes the faithful and the deceased as well as the icons on the Holy Altar Table. These hymns are known as Idiom Ela and has its own specific melody that is sung in order to the tones of the chart of Byzantine. These melodic tones expresses the consolation and grief that comes from the death of a loved one and affirms that the promise of God for a better and eternal rest in the afterlife.

In the readings of scripture, the hymnody and prayers are offered, the services of Funeral involves 2 lessons of Scripture. One is from the book Apostles and the other is from the Evangel ion book. All of these readings show the belief in the death of Christ and its Resurrection. The benefits derived from theme are the resurrection of our body and the promise of immortality and incorruption.

Dismissal and Prayers: After the scripture readings, the litany that was earlier said is added and the priest offers prayer.

Anointment and the Kiss of Peace: After the dismissal prayer comes the moment of farewell that is final to the death person. The deceased is given a kiss which acts as a symbol of love for the death person and is the affirmation that the one who has fallen in death is worthy of the God’s fulfillment and promise. This assures having lived a line of faith and under the God’s grace.

At the Cemetery: After the funeral services, the people and priest proceeds to the cemetery. Here the Trisagion is chanted by the priest and the body is then put in the grave which awaits for the resurrection of the dead and of Jesus Christ. 

Memorial Services: Following the funeral, on Sunday s service of special commemoration is held at the Liturgy of the Divine which is an expression of Thanks to the God Almighty for His acts of mercy and will to save and grant the soul of the deceased person. The same prayers and hymns, which were recited at the funeral day like ‘The Trisagion Service’ are read again at the memorial service. After approximately 40 days after the death of the person and after one year, the memorial services are held. It is the custom and tradition of some of those who held the services of commemoration after six months and annually as an anniversary to show the faith they have for their loved ones.
