Why does this approach to team-building work?

The Jazz approach of team building in an organization works by fostering cooperation and collaboration between the members of the business. This aspect of team building ensures creative coordination among the members, which is achieved by passing information and also enabling everybody to participate in the team building process. The art performance can be compared to critical situations in the organization such product innovation which requires ability to respond to changes in the environment. The jazz at work can be compared to organizational members who work together for the benefit of the business.

How might the “jazz metaphor” be useful for teams?

The approach is therefore useful for teams in the sense that it promotes synergy thinking, sharing of ideas and playing together which. Synergy thinking in the jazz group is facilitated by distribution of cognition among them. In organizational context this element is useful in teams to enhance sharing of information, sharing of leadership roles and responsibilities and ensure and flexible structures that can easily adapt to changes. Team work in organization also requires social interactions which is very important for the individual to relate with each other as seen in the jazz group.

In addition to team-building work, jazz approach can be applied in situations where such as development of new products where an organization relies on information sharing and marketing research to develop proper products that meet the needs of the c consumers. The approach can enable an organization to identify new business opportunities through creative thinking and innovation. The approach can also be applied in handling management issues such risk management as it fosters sharing of ideas which can be useful in solving different problems in the business.
