Introduction

Any project management structure requires a high level of attention to detail and an uncomplicated focus in order to achieve the intended results. These factors also require a high level of support and understanding for the team’s primary focus and direction from the inception to the completion of a given project. This process will also ensure that the firm is prepared to manage any unforeseen complications or delays that could contribute to negative circumstances for the firm as it works through a project. The project manager in charge must recognize any potential problems that might occur, including unforeseen delays that could alter project objectives in one form or another. This process also requires an ongoing effort to recognize realistic expectations for the business that could cause delays or other complications for the project that would be difficult to overcome.

Analysis

Due to the lack of experience in the project team and in its leader, the outcomes of this project were unanticipated and unforeseen. Therefore, these circumstances led to less than desirable conditions that required significant attention and focus. A more experienced team and higher level of maturity might have recognized the importance of the project and the focus that was required to ensure that the project was successful, and that unexpected delays were identified and managed before they became too much to bear. A strong approach to the team dynamic is essential, along with a greater focus on developing a strategy that would employ greater technical knowledge and common business sense so that the project would be successful, while also remaining realistic regarding budget and timeframes. This is an essential component of the process and requires a long-term approach to ensure that the team is able to achieve its objectives without unexpected surprises.

For an employee at mid-maturity level, there would be a higher level of experience and focus regarding the needs of the team and the project as a whole. This would encourage team members to have a greater focus and to develop a new strategy to ensure that they are able to effectively adapt to the desired culture, while also considering the needs of the team as it explores its strengths and weaknesses. If a problem of this nature arises with a mid-level project leader, there is likely to be an increased focus on the problem in order to develop intelligent solutions that will be successful and appropriate in achieving the expected outcomes of the project. This is an ongoing process that requires a high level of support and focus in regards to the project so that it is able to achieve the intended results. Mid-level knowledge and experience provides some degree of support and enthusiasm for the project that does not exist at the lower level; therefore, these efforts must be established in order to accomplish the intended objectives and results that will positively impact the organization and its desired outcomes effectively. At this level, it is also possible that the team will be in a position to achieve even greater growth because the knowledge base and resources are of a higher level.

For a project team with a leader of an advanced maturity level and focus, it is possible to make great strides within the team environment and to recognize the importance of creating a work environment that embraces knowledge sharing and change on many levels. This process is essential to the growth of the project and the achievements that are possible within the team itself. Their knowledge of the surrounding culture and climate will improve with a senior-level leader in place, while also considering other alternatives that will enhance the team experience and how each member contributes to the team in an effective manner. There are critical aspects to consider in this role that demonstrate the importance of achieving new objectives that capture the essence and spirit of the project and the team as a whole.

With a higher level of maturity in place, the program is likely to achieve a unique set of results that will improve outcomes and achieve effective results through a consistent focus and high level of motivation regarding the project and its needs. This process will ensure that the team explores its options and is well aware of its surroundings so that it is able to be successful in meeting the desired goals in the expected timeframe. With a senior level team leader in place with advanced maturity, there is likely to be a more focused tone to the project and in advancing the needs of the team and recognizing its strengths, including the key characteristics that support individual growth within the team environment. This strategy is essential to deliver the intended results and to recognize the importance of the team environment as a means of achieving greater growth and change for the organization. A higher level team leader would likely have a number of solutions to consider that would benefit the organization and its people through a higher level approach to ensure that the team is successful in its efforts to advance its growth without allowing the problem to disrupt normal activities as much as possible.

Conclusion

Problems that occur within a project management environment require urgent attention and focus in order to prevent any possible long-term complications that could impact outcomes for the team and in meeting its intended goals and objectives. Therefore, experienced leaders with a high level of maturity, yet who are flexible in their work styles, are preferred because they support the growth and development of the project without significant disruptions that could impact the success of the project over the long term. This process will demonstrate the importance of having a strong and experienced team leader in place who will support the project and its objectives at all levels to enhance growth and progress as best as possible.
