Essay

Boeing has a reputation for engineering excellence and the company’s long track record speaks for itself. Thus, it is not a surprise that Boeing looks for a lot more in job applicants than mere technical qualifications. This is why I am perfectly qualified for this position because not only I do have strong academic background as evident by my impressive GPA but I also possess other qualities that a typical Boeing employee possesses. First of all, I am a huge proponent of continuous education and an open attitude towards learning is especially important at organizations like Boeing that lead their respective industries in innovation. I also possess strong leadership and teamwork skills that I have acquired from my extensive participation in co-curricular activities. At Penn State University, I am a member of the executive body of Emirati Student Club and have been involved with organizing many cultural events. Working at Boeing is similar to some extent that you work with people with different personalities and backgrounds and everyone is jointly responsible for the success of the projects. In addition, I seek challenging assignments because they motivate me to push myself to the edge. Boeing takes one of the most complex projects in the world and anyone wanting to work at Boeing has to have love for complex challenges. I am also a great fit to this job because I do not only have strong engineering background but also computing and programming skills. Information technology is playing an increasingly larger role at Boeing which makes me an ideal candidate for this position.

I believe we grow the most when we are pushed beyond our normal limits. In this position, I expect myself to be challenged on everyday basis, working on complex projects. Learning is especially important when one is just starting his/her career and I expect tremendous professional growth at Boeing as compared to other companies. I am also excited due to the fact that even beginners have the opportunity to interact with the management team members of the company and I will also have access to mentors with decades of experience in the industry. As someone who enjoys the learning process, this position is an ideal fit for me.

I consider myself fortunate to have the opportunity to apply for a position at Boeing. I have been fascinated by the company since my early years in high school and have read extensively on the company. As a result, I have good understanding of the company and its internal culture. I am also aware of the fact that Boeing employees and alumni enjoy tremendous respect not only in their respective industry but also in other industries and Boeing has a reputation for producing world class leaders who have gone on to become the CEO of many Fortune 500 companies. This is why I want to work at Boeing because not only my background and strengths are a great fit to the requirements of the position but I am also passionate about the company and believe in its mission. I have no doubt I will feel at home at Boeing and will look forward to work every day to work on some of the most exciting projects in any industry.
