As the title of the movie suggests, the movie is about the late president John. F. Kennedy (JFK). The movie depicts his life and the investigation of his assassination. The movie does illustrate the aspect of power, but it is based on the ability of the U.S government to manipulate events or individuals in terms of their preference. Power is evident in the movie, but in most cases it is used in a negative manner. (Nunziata, “JFK: Director’s cut”)

The movie illustrates how the American society can be manipulated in to viewing aspects based on what the U.S government would like the Americans to see or know about. In this case it illustrates how power is used by the government to manipulate Americans. The movie deals with the matter of how political power is a means of countrywide manipulation.

In the movie while the investigations of JFK; it demonstrates who are the powerless and the powerful. The U.S government’s influence on the investigation is evident and demonstrates their power, while in a number of scenarios in the movie; it indicates how the investigators and police are powerless and must abide by the instructions of the government. In a number of the scenes, the power was exercised to conceal vital facts of the assassination. (Nunziata, “JFK: Director’s cut”)

The assassination of JFK in the movie is never really resolved, which illustrates the aspect of conspiracy and the case has never been fully resolved till today, as some of the information regarding the details of the actual assassination; which is the case in the movie. In general the movie would appeal to adults who have a historical understanding of the events that transpired in the JFK era. They would have a better understanding of the movie and even young adults who have a broad understanding of American History, especially regarding JFK. The movie in general is very interesting as well as controversial in some aspects.
