Existing systems of criminal justice are confronted with a variety of issues in the society that we live. One issue of the greatest importance in the conventional system of criminal justice relates to juvenile delinquency coupled with the presence of criminal gangs which is a problem that proliferates in the society. The purpose of this capstone project is to highlight the issues affecting the juvenile delinquency and gangs and the best approaches of their improvement.

Among the topics of importance with this regard is the potential link eminent between early problems of crime and the later problems of adolescent delinquency and gangs formation which consequently leads to the grave tendencies of adult crime. It is also important to consider the reason as to why children of the parents who are confronted by criminal issues are also predisposed to a live of crime as well.

Juvenile delinquency is an issue of significance in the criminal justice system in our society and it is a potential cause of gang formation. The implication of juvenile delinquency is the criminal or the antisocial activities that are committed by the children who are below the age of 18 years and their activities are a violation of the law. The courts are thus confronted with serious issues and in most cases the juveniles are convicted as if they are adults.

Consideration of the action goal is an important development in this capstone. Efforts should be geared towards youth refraining from the juvenile delinquency along with street activities of the criminal gangs. This is achievable through empowering the youth to lead lives that are productive, free of criminal gangs, safe, healthy and law abiding citizens.
