The paper will discuss the main concepts of successful scholarly writing. An efficient scholarly voice does not entail the use many words in a paragraph, sentence or word but rather a concision, clarity and suitable use of precise terms that are necessary to effective writing. There are numerous tips that will assist the scholar to find a good scholarly voice. One of them is using a short word that carries a bigger meaning. The scholar should depend on concrete evidence instead of using strong feelings to illustrate the truth of the writers’ assertions. The scholar must also depend on his or her manual style, spelling, and good grammar to produce the best article. An individual should also understand that it takes the time to find a voice and. Therefore, he or she should be ready to receive feedbacks and do a revision to obtain a good article. Lastly, doing consultation especially from tutors/instructors or friends will assist in sharpening the voice (Gump, 2013).
Writing is done for a reason. Therefore, there are three functions of the entire writing. These include entertaining to some extent or engaging, persuading and informing. However, since the writing was to demonstrate a scholarly writer at Walden, the writing must entail careful structure, logic, and credible evidence to persuade and inform the reader to acknowledge the ending. Hence, scholarly writers must show that they know what they are writing matters, are true and have knowledge of the content that they are writing. To achieve this objective, the scholarly writer should give solid evidence within a scholarly voice that will surpass the critical reading of his or her audience. When writing, a scholarly writer should be aware of the expectations of the audience. A good scholarly writer must be able to interpret, evaluate, analyze, synthesize, contrast, compare and summarize the material in his or her experience.
