Children’s Online Privacy

This law allows the removal of any information by minors that relates to services and products which are advertised and are prohibited for purchase by the children. The advertisement media in this respect may be Web site, online application, online service and mobile application. The law is also effective to any products that are advertised or marketed on the basis of personal information that is specific to any minor knowingly using it, disclosing it, compiling it, or permitting any third party the same thing (Depoorter & Parisi, 2002).

E-Reader Privacy

The provision of this law is to restrict any disclosure of information or record by any library or any library system that is ran on public monies. The information or records may include e-books, which recognize a library services user as appealing for  or acquiring particular materials or services or as otherwise making use of the library (Samuelson, 2005).

Websites/Online Services Privacy Policies

This law demands that any commercial website operator dealing with online services discloses their approach to respond to web browsers in their privacy policies. The law also demands expression of if any third parties are entitled to disclosure of conducting tracking on the sites or services of the operator.

Legal or technological solutions that might enhance the transaction of business via the Internet Lawmakers have strived to address several privacy issues regarding online activities and have expressed the need for legal or technological solutions that might enhance the transaction of business via the Internet (Samuelson, 2005).  This has included issues such as the need for posting privacy policies, restriction of disclosure of readers’ orders by internet libraries as well as book sellers, browsing any sensitive information and regulation of online marketing for specified products that are directed to children.
