Introduction
The Libertarian Party is a United States political party, which was been founded on December 11, 1987. The party has over 200,000 voters, which makes it one of the leading of America’s preference political parties. Under Libertarian Party, there are hundreds candidates whom have been appointed in various offices, and majority have run for office under this political party. However, when comes to Libertarian Party’s platform, it reflects that group’s meticulous brand of libertarianism, favoring austerely standardized, laissez-fair markets, well-built civil liberties, heavily standardized immigration, and free from interventionism in foreign strategy, which revere trade freedom and voyage to all alien countries (Eclipse, T, 2002). On other hand, the Democratic Party is of the two main modern political parties in the United States, together with the Republican Party. Moreover, the Democratic Party is the oldest political party in unremitting maneuver in the United States, and it’s one of the oldest political parties in the global. Also, the Democratic Party’s platform, is been measured as center-left in the United States political Spectrum. Also, the Democratic Party has the majority number of registered voters, in 2004 evaluation; it had seventy two million voters, which makes 71, 800, 000 registered voters more than Libertarian Party. Moreover, from 2006 general elections, the party has majority party in both the United States Senates and the House of Representatives. Also, the Democratic Party controls the most state legislatures and holds the most state governorship. (Ringer, J. R, 2005)
What do both parties stand for?
A Libertarians Party stands and says that, the answers to America’s quandaries are the similar commitment to self-determination, which gains America its immensity: personal autonomy and a commitment to civil liberties that marks this nation above all others; the abundance and a free-market economy and affluence it conveys; and foreign rules which are non-intervention, serenity, and liberated trade, which goes hand in hand by America’s founders. Whereas, the Democratic Party stands for keeping the country safe and increasing the opportunities for each an every American: its commitment is been outlined in an agenda, which accentuates the strong affordable health care for all Americans, economic growth, retirement security, securing the nation whilst shielding our civil liberties and rights, and hones, open and accountable government. (Dionne, E. J, 2004)
Issues regarding with Heath Care
The Libertarian Party has political measures of making healthcare affordable safe, while Democratic Party is ensuring that each an every one have the access to affordable health care. Both parties are targeting to commits their health care principle through various ways which are been discussed below:
The Libertarian Party aims to establish medical account. Under this program, one might be in a position of depositing some fund into a Medical Savings Account (MSA), which will be tax-free money. Second is, deregulating the healthcare industry. Through this program, it aims to repeal all polices of the government, which increases the health care cost and hence, decrease the accessibility of medical services. It gives a credit to this by an example of: each an every states bylaws, which authorized the coverage of unambiguous diseases and disabilities, these bylaws decrease the consume priority and hence, increasing the cost of health care insurance. If the insurance is made to be extreme expensive, this will automatic increase the number of uninsured employees, and lastly is removing barriers to safe, affordable medicine. By this, it aims to substitute the harmful agencies of the government such Food and Drug Administration (FDA), with extra agile and gratis-market options. Its major theme is to protect citizens from detrimental medicines. (Libertarian Party, 2005)
On other hand, the Democratic Party is working towards the following: 1st is to expand coverage and decrease healthcare costs. Under this program, it aims at giving businesses and individuals tax credits in order to make a quality, unswerving health exposure more accessible: 2nd, is ensuring that all American’s have affordable health insurance. Through this, it intends to redouble the efforts in order to bring uninsured into exposure. It want to give a guarantee for each an every child to afford health care, increasing coverage to working families, dislocated employees have affordable healthcare, small businesses also have affordable health care, and Americans whom are aged 55 to 65, have to be permitted to buy into the Medicare program in order for them to obtain the exposure they deserved: lastly, adding prescription drug advantage to Medicare. By this, it intends to remove barbaric tragedies and brings up-to-the-minute Medicare with a prescription drug merits. (DNC Services Corporation, 2003)
Conclusion
As noted from DNC Services Corporation (2003), Libertarian Party is a strong party full of vision, and even though it doesn’t have more registered voters than Democratic Party, it’s a political party which has a lot of potential of one day, leading United States. Also, the party doesn’t have along history compared to Democratic Party, which is one of the oldest parties in the world: the Libertarian Party has almost twenty two years, and yet is been considered as a greatest political party in United States. Both parties have different strategies in their leadership, and vision. In my own opinion, Libertarian Party has a great potential and it should aims higher.
