Pages: 2

Words: 570

Essay

Section 1

Since my level of intensity is high revealing strength, energy, and passion in communication, there is a higher drive to communicate. This gives the employees a leeway to fight for their opinions and exercise control. This is attributed to the fact that I have a potential to maintain communications and relationships. My capability to draw a lot of attention may lead to conflicts and create an image of an individualistic personality. The above facts coupled with the challenges of life means that my communication with others will be on two levels. First is communication with people with a lower intensity and secondly communication with people with the same level of intensity (high intensity). Through personalized Life Language profiles, I have learned the need to have a good communication with people having lower intensity levels than I do. In this regard, I have to lower my expectations on the quality of communication from the other person. This will be done so that the other party would not feel looked down on.

The high affinity for maintaining communication will help, as there is a factor of tolerance incorporated in my profile. On the other hand, dealing with a person with the same intensity as that of my status will be a little bit tricky. This is because each party will be seeking attention, hence creating conflict. Therefore, I have to change my personality to suit the situation. In this case, I will let the other party control the conversation to the best of their ability while complementing them. The moderate range gap between the primary and secondary languages means that communication with parties of an inferior and the superior languages is easy hence; no effort is needed in such communication.

Section 2

Personalized Life Languages Profile does not only show the assessment of my personality, but also the range of personalities of others. It is noteworthy that understanding oneself is the first step in understanding those near you. The knowledge of my personality helps me know how to deal with others whilst demonstrating a high social aptitude and emotional intelligence level. This profile helps identify, assess, and control emotions from the range of communication abilities obtained from the profile. The understanding of my general personality i.e. the high intensity level, moderate acceptance levels, balanced interaction style, moderate intrusion levels, and low susceptibility to stress will help me control my behaviour, or seeking professional help so that I can attain emotional stability. Therefore, the achievement of high levels of emotional intelligence will lead to a higher social intelligence since they are correlated.

Section 3

The knowledge of the seven languages that define a person’s personality and behaviour will help management in dealing with the different personalities of the employees. The assignment of a particular job, for example, will depend on the employee’s level of interest, and of communication with the various departments of the establishments. It is important to note that different employees handle stress in different ways. Therefore, the management should consider this while distributing jobs. Moreover, different personalities cannot be impressed in one single way. Thus, the knowledge of the likes of each employee will ease the work of the management in the motivation and appreciation of good work done by the employees. In conclusion, the knowledge about the Life Languages will ease the work of the management, as they will have an idea of a method of dealing with unique requirements of each employee.
