Lobbying for the Nurse Practitioner Modernization Act, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 368

Essay

Dear Ms. Christina B. Roucco, the author is your constituent and is writing to request you to sustain A.5308/S. 3289; The Nurse Practitioner Modernization Act. Effective healthcare supply is not only vital to the author, but to other Americans who are anxious with access, the type of healthcare offered and affordability.

Towards this goal, the author is confident that nurse practitioners are an essential link in health care delivery. When completely utilized, they can offer fast solutions to some of the foremost problems being experienced. There are more people in need of primary care than there are providers. Assistant doctors and family doctors have a higher likelihood to care for those with nominal income and the underserved. As a result of such predispositions, there is need for their autonomy, which is acquired, by educating and convincing law makers to take away such hindrances (Cella, & king-Jensen, 2011).

Not all insurance firms are expected to compensate for (Nps) care and artificial barriers which involve mandated collaboration with a doctor, provided that the latter does not play any role in caring for the patient. Such statutory collaboration is not proper and should be removed. It is expected that the NP, like any other health provider, can make use of his or her judgment professionally and probably collaborate with other healthcare providers when they consider it necessary. The legal mandate to collaborate with others does not serve any clinical purpose and should be removed to ensure efficient healthcare operations (Koslap-petraco, 2011).

As a client I would prefer that NYS inhabitants be given the freedom to pick NP care irrespective of where they reside. Unencumbered NP care is the key to better services for patients and a better healthcare. The author would like to request support for the mentioned legislation and aid to correct the faults in the system.

The author is hoping that your support can be counted upon and anticipating your response.
