Logistics and Life Cycle Issues, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 290

Essay

Reflecting back on the course, there are a number of takeaways that I have found to be crucial throughout the course. One of the most important takeaways is the use of different management tools to ensure efficiencies and minimal costs in logistics. It is important that these management tools are employed by different stakeholders within the supply chain. They include, customer relationship management (CRM), transport logistics management (TLM) and supply chain Management (SCM). When efficiently applied, these tools can be useful in addressing challenges faced within the supply chain relative to global industry and market trends.

The most challenging aspect of the course is also the most interesting aspect of the course. This is the application of theory to analyze and generate solutions for real-life problems and current issues. While the theoretical aspect is foundational, the application of these aspects on issues currently facing logistics and transportation is considerable challenging. This required an approach that integrates theory and involves a multi-disciplinary approach towards analyzing real-life issues in logistics.

Theories, concepts and ideologies taught in this course are crucial in developing my personal and professional life. While the concepts are crucial in analyzing and managing real-life logistics issues and challenges, these can still be employed in my personal life to understand the supply chain and find retailers and suppliers with the most efficient and reliable supply chain.

The course was largely pleasing, interesting and challenging. This is because the design of the course was largely effective and efficient in passing across the goals and objectives of each lesson. However, I would like to suggest the use of case studies to enhance the concepts that are taught in most lessons. Case studies also actively involve students and require them to apply knowledge in real-life situations.
