Essay

Strategic leadership directs the visualization and course for the development and achievement of an organization. This article has relevance to strategic leadership in that it provides the alignment of realizing fit both in bivariate and multivariate perspectives. The article elucidates this fact based on previous and present works concerning fit in advancing the inferences of fit for executive performance and business strategy. In line with the article, numerous researchers found the disparities between high and low performers in combinational aspects, for example, environmental fit, managerial leadership fit, structure, and performance. These are the differences in strategy making and execution. A preponderance of these researches has maintained that multivariate fit is more suitable and ought to be further revealed in strategic management study. The article advances the inferences of fit for administrative and strategy performance based on Strategic Leadership in Forming and Establishing Fit centered on those previous and present-day exertions on fit as discussed above.

Early philosophies tended to emphasize on the ways the fit concerning two varying aspects (for instance, strategy and organization, management and structure, or strategy and management) might impact structural outcomes: more so bivariate fit. Contrary to past theories aiming at bivariate fit, current theories have engrossed in multivariate fit amid variables that might provide better consideration of composite setting and administrative phenomena (Daewoo, 2011). As a result, the variance between macro and micro fit may curtail from two dissimilar hypothetical methodologies: open verses closed methods approaches.

The main strength of the article is that it expounds and develops a figurative approach on hypothetical phenomena of realizing multivariate strategic perspectives of micro and macro fit. Conversely, the overriding weakness of the article is that bases its facts from previous researches rather than deploying an individual constructive research. The article merely elucidates that further studies are anticipated in future strategic leadership research.
