Research Paper

Mayo health care is among the known health centers in the world that strive for excellence in giving its customers quality services. 58 000 employees including students, nurses and allied staffs, is what mayo health care hosts under the same roof as working staff. Despite of it being a health care center, it is also a business plant, and so its manager has to put into consideration issues like marketing objectives for steady and smooth running governance.

Marketing objectives

Marketing objectives in any business idea is very vital, since this is where managers have to put down summary on how to venture into the proposed business. Here, Mayo health care centre is not exception. Therefore, if in any circumstances the concerned managers in mayo health center fail to have good and sound objectives, then there is high probability that funding of this business venture will be unfeasible.

However, some of the marketing objectives are as follows. Hitherto, some of the objectives will read, to increase service offered awareness in the targeted audience by 30 percent a year (Berry & Seltman, 2008). Since customers are the determinant of the success of the Mayo health care centers, they should be aware of its features. Therefore, inform customers on benefits and features of their product and its competitive advantage. This will approximately result in 10 percent increase in customers or patients visiting the Mayo health center per year. Lastly, another remarkable objective will be to reduce the resistance of budding customers or patients who are able to visit the health care for medication.

Main achievement of Mayo health care is to generate surplus funds that will be used for self-sustenance rather that paying shareholders. In this regard, this will be made possible with the regular advertisement and quality services offered to the clients. In addition, Mayo health center holds other seventy health clinics, thus this will be an added advantage in fast pace in generating funds.

However, it is not easy to achieve the above goals and so with a good laid foundation, the health center will take almost a year to achieve 40 percent profit on its surplus. Notably, this will be true if proper plan of advertising and attractive service is met to the potential customers. It is pertinent to note that, the managing staff should offer training to its employee in order to improve customer relation.

Marketing strategy

Marketing strategy is the outlined game plan in the focus of fulfilling the market objectives (Fenner, 2010). To be precise, this is the center of the marketing plan. In this case, marketing strategy should comprise the following information; the services that the health center offers and its products, as quality of the medicine to its customers. Another essential factor is the price. Here, all the customers whether potential or non-potential do pay close attention on price. Following the above, Mayo health centre should put into consideration how much to charge its customers that is, not to overcharge and again not to undercharge their services to their customers.

Another key factor in any given business venture is the advertisement part. In this case, the managerial team should know how to create awareness of its services and quality of the medicine in store. This is done through several promotion via the available channels for instance, radio, television as well as social websites like face book, twitter to mention but a few. Another factor that should be put into consideration is how to manage place. That is, the tactical provision of services offered with customer. Customers should appreciate both the quality of medicine in place and the appealing services offered by the Mayo employees. In alliteration, to cub it all, since Mayo deals with health matters, marketing strategy will involve, service description and medicines effectiveness, pricing and lastly promotional plans. With good and well-defined market strategy, Mayo health center will attract patients not only in the current country but also outside the country. Consequently, this goes hand in hand with the type of services they do offer, if a customer appreciates , then they can also make a good advertising urgent since they will pass the good service to other people who are in need with same service.

According to research done, it is evident that people do travel from different cities to come and receive treatment at Mayo, because of their stable treatment capabilities. It is evident that, from the statistics made, older people are the frequent long distance patients (Lucita, 2010). Perhaps more importantly, the above is true because of the efficient and professional employees that Mayo as a community has.

For any kind of business to be viable, there should be several procedures to be followed. First, there is creation of objectives. Hence, this will act as igniters to show direction on the proposed business. Secondly, there is achievement that is what you intent to get from the business in mind. Finally, marketing strategy is essential if well analyzed, since it will pave way for the success. If the above is well followed by the Mayo health center, then the institute will flourish.
