Employee satisfaction is the evaluation of how contented workers are with their job and working environment. Keeping self-esteem high among workers can be of tremendous advantage to any company, as happy workers will be more possible to produce more, take fewer days off, and stay at the company. The following are suggestions or guidelines for effective measuring employee satisfaction:

SMART test (Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Relevant and Timely), SMART test is necessary when measuring the employee satisfaction, company specifies and assigns ownership, accountability and parameters for performance of the metric. They must be easy to measure and calculate, while taking actionable steps toward meeting the organizational mission and goals within a measurable time.

Employee engagement, this is involving employees in various fields in an organization, in order to know their talents. These promote employees satisfaction and ensures the long term and creative tenure of the faithful employee with the employer.

Use of 4Cs, employee surveys that (commitment, culture, communications, and compensation), there should be a commitment to involve employee engagement, culture to measure leadership and liability communication to classify barrier to effective management and compensation to evaluate employee perceptions to pay and benefits.

MBWA (Management by Walking Around) strategy, this is a strategy where employer moves around the working area. When an employer walks around he usually asks easy open ended questions that encourage them to talk, and through these employees get time to express their desires freely. Also, employer gets time to appreciate employees for the work they do.

Performance metric, this is a measurement used to measure the performance of some component of an organization. These include key result.
