The process of becoming a knight involved sending of the young boys at an age as early as 8 years to the lords at the local level. This was the facilitation of acquiring of all the relevant kowkledge with respect to joining knighthood. These included the court rules, writing, chivalry, music as well as weapons. The following 5 years ahead was characterized by turning in to a squire with the progress in growth and development towards manhood requiring a focus of the training towards more on the application of the weapons, combat as well as horsemanship. This was considered as the most significant aspect associated with the combat with reference to the knight. A major issue of specific consideration was the serious focus with regard to the rules responsible for the tactics for the combat that was horse mounted. This was the reason that the knight was highly feared as well as being respected enemy (Mark & Hugh, 56-8).
The mentioning of a knight is responsible for painting of a picture of a battlefield that is horrifying as well as deadly with an immediate appearance of the weapons. The Mediaval knights were actual soldiers who were associated with professinalis at the time of the middle ages. They were usually armed with the weapons that were very fatal. There is an equivalence of the mediaval nights to modern tanks as a result of their inherent ability in the destruction of their enemies in an erffective manner once they were in the battle field. The weapons of application by the mediaval soldiers had a graet variation with significant transformation as time went by. This was as a result of the changes in the technology and the techniques of designing the weapons as well as the application of machines (Vesey &Norman, 96-103)
Modern Day Soldiers has the reference to the raiding guild with a significant degree of seriousness with regard to the progression as well as defeat of the new content. At the moment the entire men raids are on a status of the farm. In the situation that the raiding is taken on a serious note, most of the time with regard to the guild finds its application in the offering of assistance to each other together with the derivation of fun as well as socialization (James, 34-7) . The chief responsibility of the modern day Knights in the military force is land combat. During the times that there was a danger, they took off towards the castles or the strongholds that were under the ownership of the nobles. The process that is usually adopted for the purpose of the training of the modern soldiers has the application of the a basic training that is usually extensive as well as exercises that are meant for the improvement of the techniques as well as the strategies responsible for fighting (Stephen, 45-67) . There is a close similarity in as far as the philosophy knights are concerned with respect to the training while exempting the process of apprenticeship. There is advocacy for additional practice for the sake of the achievement of success.
Although there is a loss of an important part with regard to the plot, there is a clear undercurrent of the philosophy as a result of the addition of Chaucer which is a main inspiration of the “Consolation of Philosophy of Boethius” that is a translation of Chaucer. The story has been translated to a language that is more modern. The tale is an embodiment of the ideas arising from chivalry with a portrayal of the Knight in the form in the form of mercenary which are beyond the gallant, the ethical as well as gentle character. However, the theory has been under an intense dispute in the face of academic community (Vesey & Norman, 312-32).
The most important role that is played by the modern soldiers is offering the protection of the entire country. There is a great variation from the knights since the latter were in a position of initiating the fights at the time and opportunity that they deemed fit due to the fact that the role of the knight was the protection of the castle as well as the lord. There is a higher degree of organization in the current soldiers and they only involve themselves in the war in the instance of the proclamation of the war. The reasons behind the proclamation of the war has to be accompanied with degree of seriousness in the case of the modern soldiers. There was a great importance in chivalry at th time of the middle ages but in the current scenario, there is a requirement for a greater degree of threatening for the purpose of the eruption of the war. There is also an equal view of the modern women in comparison to the men and there is therefore no need for the raising of the soldiers on the pedestal (Stephen, 123-45).
Irrespective of the situation, whether the “Middle Age knight” or a “Modern Day soldier”, there is a similar basic goal that involves the service of a defense system. In the process of the ages, there has been a civilization with a specific type of army with the sole responsibility of the protection of the entire society.
