Methodological Curricular Preparation, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 296

Essay

The time we all spent at the present course, and the findings and knowledge we have acquired, is precious and invaluable, since now we have an additional insight into how the brain works, how it learns, and what challenges in the process of learning it has. I, as the future educator who will meet with these challenges every day in my future classroom, pledge to take the fundamentals of neuroscience into account in the preparation for every class, for every group of learners, both brilliant and lagging behind. Thus, I pledge to make my classroom activities compatible with all specifics of children’s brain functioning, and I am sure that my findings during this course will contribute significantly in my methodological curricular preparation.

Once we have got into the Wonderland of neurocognitive science, there is no way for us to retain our previous modes of thinking. We now know how we think, and what suits us most in learning; therefore, I pledge to conduct diagnostics of the left- or right-brain dominance before starting a learning session, and before choosing the appropriate set of materials for a particular group of learners. I pledge to recollect the exercises that welcomed me to the world of reading as seen by the eyes of struggling readers, and to reassure them, providing more support and peer assistance. I know now that not all people are doomed to excellence due to hard labor; it is not diligence of the learner but the creativity and comprehensiveness of teacher’s efforts that makes readers success. Therefore, I pledge to make everything possible for the sake of creating the immersive classroom in which various types of audio-visual stimuli, creative teacher and peer support, various types of rewards, and a playful mode will contribute to the overall learning success.
