It is rather extraordinary that human nature dictates the capacity of each individual to keep on moving every after storm thus desiring to achieve more amidst the many hardships that life itself imposes. One example of this is the pursuit of achievement in line with the condition of developing a more distinct sense of competition and achievement in sports such as baseball, football, and even basketball. In this field, Michael Jordan has become the epitome of what it means to be a truly hard working individual who does not stop at anything in order to be able to achieve everything that he wants. This essay will trace why Michael Jordan is considered the world greatest athlete, the main characteristics that he had, and why he is considered as a worthy role model.

For many years, Michael Jordan has maintained a remarkable record as an athlete and majority of the Americans have selected him as their favorite basketball image. He was born in USA and Michael has been a good player in baseball and basketball alike.  According to a study that was reported in the Sports Business journal, 4.1% of the respondents picked Michael Jordan as the most preferred athlete. This report defines Michael’s status to be rather extensive especially in making a name as the nation’s favorite [if not the world’s]. Michael Jordan has been chosen as the greatest player in the game of basketball during his time making him a basketball legend. Michael Jordan has become a victorious legend in the NCAA championship of the American Basketball League boasting a list of achievements including two gold medals in Olympic as well as six NBA championships.

The main characteristic that Michael Jordan had that not many other people have is that he was willing to keep working at a specific task even when other people told him that he was not good enough. He always keeps moving forward. Michael Jordan has faced many obstacles in his life and career to achieve and accomplish everything he desires to take note of.  This shows how much of an extrovert he is as he was willing to share himself with others; to be outgoing and effective in being a part and leading a team accordingly. He likes to do things in order; step by step. Never giving up is a natural point of his personality and this idealism is part of his permanent quality making it impossible for him to say “no”. He was able to accept a new challenge of playing professional basketball and this made him to rejoin NBA. His courage resulted to winning three additional titles in NBA and these were very important accomplishments that made him to be considered as a perfect basketball player. He is relatively a real hero and the greatest athlete of all time. Also Michael Jordan has always been noted for his knowledge of things and the respect for matters he highly gives distinct response to especially when it comes to respecting women and the way they ought to be treated.

Michael Jordan plays a very important role as a model for the children and has greatly influenced them to like and engage in basketball as one of the most important sports that could shape their personality. Michael Jordan is an admirable champion who has gone through extremely difficult time in his life. Michael Jordan is an enviable hero because he can display important qualities honor, achievement as well as courage that can only be the quality of a great person. As a fighter, Michael Jordan was never easily set off from his goals when failures happen. Living for a dream that has shaped him and the being that he was able to share to the world and the individuals who give attention to what he has to give especially in consideration with the inspiration he is able to provide others with the use of his personal experiences and examples.

To sum up basketball is a socializing process that takes time and hard work to master. Michael Jordan dedicated his life to basketball and became a great athlete that everyone knows and praises his name when they hear it because he became a source of inspiration and motivation for people. Michael Jordan embodies a great player in basketball while displaying courage, excellence and honor. Michael Jordan has also been an energetic as well as an influential player in NBA.

In conclusion, it could be noticed that Michael Jordan is more than just an athlete. Considering his character and personality, he was considered more than just a person who knows and loves sports; instead, he was accepted as a legend, someone who is able to influence others at a great deal of rate to the point of leading them to a change of perception. Most likely, people who are still to realize the facts about Michael Jordan would continue to make a definite insistence on how good the man is and how well he inspires them to reach their goals. Being a black man, Jordan did set a new standard for everyone else, especially when it comes to respecting his people [who were once considered as slaves, mere workers for the rich families]. Helping them realize that they can be so much better, that they can achieve further than what they were expected to embrace as part of their being, Jordan was able to set up a model that everyone could give attention to, especially when they belong to the minorities or if they do feel like they are being left out because of being different. True, instead of using his point of difference a hindrance to reaching his dreams, he used it to embrace the fullness of his capacity and brought his name and that of his people in the map of world-sports recognized by everyone else all over the globe.
