Essay

Physical

The physical being is complex and multifaceted in many ways, and may be described as a myriad of characteristics and traits that facilitate one’s appearance and genetic makeup. From a personal perspective, the growth of the physical body serves as a symbol of a living and breathing human being, one that reflects different physical attributes, such as eye color, weight, height, hair color, and bone structure. As I have grown and matured, I constantly recognize the changes that have taken place within my physical body, and have also learned much about how to make the best of what I was born with in the best way possible. I believe that the transition to adulthood has been most challenging, but I have learned much, and will take those lessons as I move forward with my life. Therefore, the physical being that I have become represents one critical piece of a much greater puzzle.

Cognitive

From a cognitive perspective, I believe that there is a distinction connection between what I might be thinking and how I might behave in response, and this is a challenging and interesting way to approach learning in this capacity (Unknown author). I believe that a cognitive approach to addressing various aspects of my life are essential in order to discover the best possible means of promoting personal and professional growth. I have experienced many changes throughout my life, and have responded to said changes using my mental abilities, combined with my individual behaviors in both positive and negative ways. I recognize that cognitive abilities are key contributing factors in supporting or negating my personal needs, and that I have made some good choices and some bad as a result of my cognitive state at any given period in time. I believe that these choices have shaped my cognitive both positively and negatively, and as a result, I have adapted to such changes accordingly. Cognitive processing is one of the most natural talents that all human beings possess, and when I look back upon my life thus far, I consider this ability as a key contributor to my own level of success.

Emotional

Throughout my life, the emotional side of my personality has been especially strong, as I have always been an emotional person with open and honest responses to many different situations. Although exploring and sharing my emotions has been a very worthwhile and rewarding experience in many ways, it has also been very difficult at times to control my emotions in different settings, and this has created unnecessary challenges for me. My emotional side is constantly changing, and it has both positively and negatively influenced my ability to be successful in certain situations. Therefore, it has been difficult for me at times to make the best of a given situation without making it worse in the process. For me, my childhood and adult years have been particularly useful in assessing my emotional state, and from these experiences, I believe that I have come a very long way in supporting my ability to overcome doubts and obstacles, and to improve upon my well being in a positive manner. This emotional perspective is also relevant because I have made many efforts to establish a balance between these emotions and my mental state, so that I might be able to manage experiences in a different light. My emotional context is complex, but my most desirable objective is happiness, as I strive to overcome those darker periods in an effort to achieve unequivocal happiness under all circumstances.

Social

From a social perspective, my life is filled with a series of encounters in a variety of social settings. These social experiences have been great teachers to date, showing me where my strengths and weaknesses lie, and what I am capable of in the future. Interacting with others in social settings is of critical importance to my well being and development, and necessitates an understanding of my ability to adapt to different social situations (Hughes et.al). I believe that in a social context, there are considerable advantages to open interaction in these settings, and that my experiences to date have been generally positive in this respect. Social interaction is the key to establishing relationships, and in maintaining these relationships over the long term. Therefore, it is imperative to identify areas where norms and values have evolved and persist, so that individuals in these settings are positively influenced as a result (Cherry, 2010). Throughout my life, I have generally responded to social situations in a positive manner, but there have been some instances where I have been uncomfortable as a result of negativity or other factors. However, I believe that in order to overcome these obstacles, I must continue to explore new options to overcome negativity, and to learn from each and every social experience in a positive way. This will ensure that I will maximize these circumstances as best as possible.
