Once upon a time in Alaska, there lived a young man called Bravo who lived with his parents in a tiny house in the middle of the forest. His parents loved him dearly because he was the only child in the family. His childhood was quiet and boring because he had no friends to interact with. They lived all alone in the forest. Unfortunately, there were no other human beings living in the forest. They could only interact with the wild animals and birds that inhabited the forest. As he grew older, he started becoming inquisitive and wanted to establish why they were the only human species in the forest. Despite lacking any form of schooling or scientific knowledge, Bravo developed an interest in discovering their origin. He began walking in the forest, making observations that he could later discuss with his parents.
His mother’s health started deteriorating as her age advanced. She never showed any sign of recovery. Instead, her health condition worsened with time. His father could not help the situation because old age was catching up with him too. Bravo was left with the humongous task of finding the appropriate treatment for his ailing mother. His love for his dear mother drove him to seek a solution to his mother’s health problem. He wandered in the forest day-in day-out trying to find therapeutic solutions to the illness. One lucky morning, he got the highly anticipated help he had sought for a very long time. It was an ancient artifact that was in the the form of writing. It was a medical document that contained different forms of diseases, diagnosis, and treatment. One of the diseases described in the document was similar to the one his mother was suffering. Their signs and symptoms were so similar that Bravo was convinced that his mother was suffering from the same disease. He continued reading it to find the appropriate treatment for the illness.
Although the document revealed the type of treatment for the disease, the biggest challenge was, it could only be found in Pluto. The treatment was in the form of a rare plant that only existed in Pluto. Bravo was not bothered by the fact that his mother’s life could only be saved with a plant found millions of miles away. He took it as a noble challenge and embarked on a mission to save her life. He used his scientific knowledge to design a spaceship that he could use to travel to Pluto. He designed a super space shift that could withstand any harsh environmental conditions. He also designed his special space to enable his body withstand extreme conditions in Pluto.
He decided not to inform his parents of his plan to travel to Pluto to avoid worrying them. On the D-day, he secretly departed for Pluto aboard his spaceship with an intention of finding the plant to treat his mother. He took approximately three days to reach Pluto. Upon landing Pluto, he successfully identified the plant and collected enough for use. He started his journey back home upon accomplishing his mission to Pluto. A week later. Bravo was back home with the hope of saving his mother’s life. After, he was greeted with the rudest shock of his life when he found both parents dead. They passed away after their son left home without prior notification. Sadly, Bravo’s effort was all in vain. The pain of losing both parents was too unbearable for him to stomach. Living in the thick forest all alone became a daunting task for him. His life became so miserable that he decided to take his own.
Description and Analysis of the Story
The story bases on Bravo as the main character, who lives with his mother and father in a forest in Alaska. Strangely, they are the only human species living in the forest. Bravo spends his childhood with no other children to play or interact with due to unavoidable circumstances. He develops scientific interest and embarks on a fact-finding missionto unearth their origin. Before he could find any concrete evidence, his aging mother falls sick and her health starts deteriorating. He gets worried and his attention switches to finding treatment for his ailing mother. He starts searching for an amicable solution to her mother’s ailment. Luckily, he finds a medical document in the form of an ancient artifact.
He reads through the document and finds a disease with identical symptoms to his mom’s illness. The document reveals that it can only be treated with a rare plant that only grows in Pluto. Bravo finds challenges and designs a spaceship to travel to Pluto. He successfully designed an efficient spaceship and began his journey to Pluto. Upon landing, he easily identifies the plant and collects enough of them. He returns home hoping to treat his mother with the recommended plant. However, it becomes a case of too little too late because he finds both his parents dead. It dawns on him that his mission to Pluto was all in vain. Subsequently, his life becomes miserable and he decides to take his life.
It is a story of a young man who is willing to go an extra mile to save the life of his ailing mother. He faces a lot of obstacles in his quest to find the appropriate treatment for his ailing mother. He is motivated by the desire to see his mother become healthy again and decides to take a risky venture of traveling to Pluto, an alien place, to make sure that his mother is healed. It is evident that he is such a brave and courageous young man, who is willing to take risks to ensure wellbeing of his mother. Despite the fact, that he found his parents dead, he is vindicated because he tried by all means to save his mother’s life, but it did not work out for him.
