Introduction went well. I would work on your handshake. It needs to be a little more firm, but not so firm it’s considered aggressive. Also, maintain better eye contact as this shows you’re confident and dependable. Don’t wear any kind of perfume or cologne as it was very heavy in the heated office.

Your appearance was good. I would pay more attention to your shoes (they were a little scuffed) and to your fingernails. Fingernails should be well manicured (this does not mean nail polish, just trimmed and cleaned). I would have popped a mint before the interview (and had it finished by the interview started).

Your communication was well received and executed. Next time I would have more than one question prepared to ask at the end of the interview as it shows engagement and that you’ve done your research. Also, take your time when you answer questions and think about what answer you want to give. Try to stay away from saying “um,” and “huh” so much.

It seemed you were prepared for the interview as you had a few questions prepped and you understood the nature of what we do at the company.

The close of the interview went alright. Don’t be so nervous as it comes off agitated. Also, it’s fine to tell a joke or two to lighten the mood. Remember, when you’re hired part of it is your resume and part of it is your personality. The interview is so that I can see what kind of person I’m going to be hiring so bringing out your personality at this stage would be a good thing to do.
