“The purpose of education is to replace an empty mind with an open one.” – Malcolm S. Forbes

This quote is one of my best since it has encouraged me to look ahead and achieve success. My Master’s program has not been that smooth, especially my project work. However, am reminded by Michael Forbes words, which has enabled me, get into books. This saying rushed my adrenaline of motivation to read and complete my project in time by achieving good grades thereby acquiring knowledge for my future career. Having an ‘empty’ mind for a student is a policy that needs abolishing, but the vast books and research projects have been able to engage students in a variety of subjects leading to successful careers.

“Learning from success is important but learning from failure is vital to succeeding.” – Jason Platnick

This quote is a good description of how people have been able to achieve success in their endeavors. Many have undergone several failures thereby, gaining experience on how to handle these failures, thus achieving their successes. This quote tells me that I should learn from my failures in order to achieve greatness. Failures in life make one learn how to handle certain situations in life, thus one can attain great success.

“By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” – Benjamin Franklin

This quote is all about planning and sums my educational journey concisely. One should be primed at all times for everything that might occur. This is because being unprepared leaves one searching for answers when the time to act is upon them. For my undergraduate, I advised many of my friends and colleagues to heed to planning before the semester began. Majority of them paid attention to what I was saying. Consequently, they managed to organize their schedules in a balanced manner that promoted their attainment of unequaled goals. Today, they appreciate my words and relay it to their juniors even in their work places. From this quote, I have been able to succeed in what I do and pass to others my secret to succeeding, which has improved other people’s lifestyle and the way of thinking.

“No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” Declares the Lord –Isaiah 54:17

This quote is one of my favorites because my parents gave it to me when I was joining my undergraduate studies. As a Christian, am bound to face many temptations, but with the Lord on my side, no person (weapon) shall prosper. The Lord is always with those who trust in His word, thus, I will continue to serve Him alone, and for sure, I will succeed. During my undergraduate years, I learned how to balance between work and school. The pressures of friends and parties were coming from all sides, but with the word of God on my side, I was able to conquer and forge forward, which enabled me attain good grades. Eventually, I managed to enroll for my Master’s program, and I appreciate all the teachers and mentors who guided and encouraged me to work hard and focus all my efforts on my future.

“The road to glory is not always straight. There is a curve called failure, A loop called confusion, Speed bumps called friends, Red lights called enemies, Caution lights called family. You will have flats called jobs. But, if you have a spare called determination, An engine called Perseverance, Insurance called faith, and a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called success.”- Friend

This quote in reality sums up my educational journey. During my academic career, so many roadblocks have given me the engine to persevere and plan for results. At my work station, I have saved it as my opening message, which gives me the zeal and power to work. It has been an encouraging quote since am able to reflect on where I have been and the direction of where am going. In my educational pursuits, I see myself as triumphant and when I will have completed my program, I will attest to the truthfulness of the quote. Additionally, this will allow me begin my quest of change in the educational context and embracing the technology of reading with a positive mind.

“Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers, you cannot be successful or happy.” – Norman Vincent Peale

This quote is in agreement with all beliefs and traditions of my career path. In business, one encounters many challenges and risks especially when it comes to engaging in a business venture. It is expected to encounter losses and profits any business, but it is necessary for entrepreneurs to take the first step of believing in their ventures. This requires individuals to have faith and understanding on the risks involved. Therefore, the individual will be able to see ahead with the fog that comes their way with the intention of blocking their view and pulling them down. Being successful depends on how I handle my situations, problems, challenges and involved risks. It is paramount for individuals to have faith and understanding to tackle all situations and mishaps that come their way.

“Allow yourself to dream and fantasize about your ideal life; what it would look like, and what it would feel like. Then do something everyday to make it a reality!” – Brian Tracy

This quote is one that has driven me through this challenging life filled with pandemonium. Am bound to this from my early high school years, where I dreamt of so many things. How I want to be a successful entrepreneur, doctor, psychologist and even pilot. To this day, I dream of becoming an entrepreneur like Donald Trump and others, which motivates me to work extra hard in what I do in order to live a life of being served. I believe that, at one point, successful entrepreneurs dreamt for success and their dreams have become their reality since they have achieved their life goals.

“Thoughts and ideas are the source of all wealth, success, material gain, all great discoveries, inventions and achievements.” – Mark Victor Hansen

This quote has been beneficial in my life because it has expanded my skills and knowledge. Having positive thoughts and ideas can lead to development of innovative technologies and inventions. Developing bright ideas have enabled many entrepreneurs make their ideas into successful business ventures. As a student, one should have positive ideas and thoughts of achieving great educational achievements and career.
