Pages: 1

Words: 306

Essay

The actions of different people in the society are relative to culture. There is a possibility of all cultures co-existing on a condition of the elimination of the racists, sexists, fascists, chauvinists, bigots, red necks among others for the purpose of transforming the beliefs to match with fashions. Western civilization has been composed of similar cultures although they are different but there has been a constant effort of domination of individual cultures (Ruggiero, 2008).There is also a direct relationship between multiculturalism and the power shift, culture as well as population in globalization era.

The implication of multiculturalism is the existence of equal rights as well as respect in regard to the distinct groups of culture. The current era of globalization requires that the advancement in technology is properly utilized for effective performance in the work place. The effectiveness of this depends on the extent of equality in offering the existing opportunities regardless of ethnicity of the individual or race in addition to the rest of the defining category. The efficiency of utilization of the technology depends on the extent of cultural diversity that has been developed in the society (Ruggiero, 2008).This therefore calls for the elimination of discrimination based on the race or the ethnicity of the individual.

There is a need for the elimination of the multiculturalism strands with respect to the reliance of identity politics. This has the reference to the definition of political identity as well as social identity of the individual together with the interests based on the terms of the category of the group (Ruggiero, 2008). Inequalities based on economic as well as social factors results to the production of cultural differences. The values as well as the behaviors in groups of individuals is also impacted by the inequalities
