Music Pieces Collected
The music piece recorded was a collection of both natural sounds and piece-by-piece musical arrangements that have been placed together to create a complete theme for the project. Mixing the said elemental factors of music specifically offered a vision of development that progresses between naturally made sounds and the created music piece that served as a the more solid selection in the collection completed. Among the natural sounds included the music produced by a bird with the passing vehicles from below the building as its background. Another part of the said segment of the collection included the rushing sound of the wind and the chatter of the people passing by the road beyond the backyard of the house. The whistling sound of the wind accompanied by the clashing of leaves in nearby tree is also part of the collection.
On the solid musical piece of the collection, a mild piano instrumental has been recorded alongside another violin solo. These pieces were collected alongside the nature sounds as background to the entire collection in an aim to create a solid presentation for all the sounds gathered. Relatively, the piano and violin instrumentals made a great depiction on the separation of tones as they both set the balance for the entire selection.
Analysis of Three Sounds
As for the natural sound collection, it could be analyzed that the pitch of the different elements placed together has been determined by the existence of the aspect of wind-balance. The effect of the wind blowing between the recorded sound and the actual sound the bird makes specifically masked the natural sound of the bird’s chirping music. Note too that alongside the chirping bird is the sound of the passing vehicles beyond the building which had a lesser pitch than that of the bird’s. This is basically because of the existence of distance between the elements being recorded together.
The whirling wind and its whistling sound produced a rather calming tune especially in reference to the connection that it has with the background violin and piano instrumentals. The effect of the rustling leaves from a nearby tree serves as a breaking section of the tone suggesting that the distance of the tree is closer to the recorder in relation to the distance of the blowing wind in the background. The chatter of the people passing by that has been recorded appeared as faded voices that cannot be recognized to be chatting humans due to the distance that the recorder has from the elements where the sound itself is produced from. While this sound actually came from humans, the number of people speaking and the distance incurred during the recording process imposed as if they were bees bustling around a distant area.
Summary
The collection of sounds that were placed together for this project specifically defines music as a compilation of sounds that are put together to create a deeper meaning about life. There are instances when such types of sound collection such as this one is undergone to produce relaxing music. The natural definition of sounds in the environment and the division of pitches of each element due to the existence of wind and distance specifically makes each melody a pleasant music to hear. The natural division of sounds help increase the attention of the listeners to those that appeal to them the most. This specific collection of sounds tells so much about the environment and how it naturally creates a series of music that is not only pleasant for hearing but is also full of meaning that simply speaks to the soul. Music is naturally made with the elements of nature itself, and being able to appreciate such matter gives one a chance to appreciate life.
The phrase “music is everywhere” is indeed true, especially in correlation with this particular project. The condition by which each sound is collected from the natural surroundings creates a notion that music really is a gift that is used to define life. It is a matter that is present in proving that life itself exists in line with the diversity of sounds that makes living more exciting. Being able to appreciate such natural form of music creates a sense of inner peace in a person thus making it easier for one to face the challenges of life.
The correlative reaction of natural elements towards each other to create a sound that would define its worth as a form of music work perfectly in putting the right tune and pitch even in the simplest form of instruments found in nature such as the wind, the birds and the trees that are found in the environment. The inspiration of creating music based from what sound nature creates is the very source of musical excellence used in musical arrangements at present. Completely inspired by these natural sounds, composers of good music find it easier to create relative sounds that are good to hear and bring about an inner sense of meaning to the listeners who are able to appreciate the said music’s worth.
