My Relationship With My Supervisor, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 247

Essay

My relationship with my supervisor is okay. She doesn’t supervise my work in real time and moreover, I don’t see her as much as I would prefer but we met yesterday to review my progress so far. Now we have agreed to meet every Wednesday to address any concerns I may have.

My relationship with other team members is good. Alicia, who is my supervisor in the absence of my main supervisor, is great. She helps me with anything I may be having difficulty understanding, teaches me whatever I ask for, and is very easy to work with. She always involves me in discussions concerning the residence which makes me feel recognized. Matt, who works with Alicia, is also a good teacher, friendly, and fun to work with. Those who do evening shifts are also friendly and I know them because their shift starts about half an hour before my shift ends. All of these individuals have contributed towards making my experience a success.

I have realized the importance of these relationships in my professional growth and I put into practice what they teach me and also what I observe by watching them doing their jobs. I also understand they may teach me but ultimately I have to put in the efforts to make sure I probably understand their lessons and do not forget them. In addition, I should also not hesitate when I have questions because ultimately I know what I have understood and what I have not.
