My Vision of the Nurse Leader, Essay Example

Introduction

My vision of a nurse leader continues to be consistent with my original perspectives. However, I also believe that practical elements are required in order to accomplish the desired objectives and strategies that nurses must encompass throughout their careers. Nurses must embody the core values of healthcare practice and demonstrate their ability to be effective communicators in supporting the transformation of nursing success and achievement in a variety of settings, including direct patient care.

Analysis

Nurses must continue to demonstrate transformative leadership through their ability to improve patient outcomes and to promote core values within the workplace setting (Hutchinson and Jackson, 2013). These issues are relevant because they demonstrate a means of expanding outcomes and in offering high quality patient care at all times (Hutchinson and Jackson, 2013). However, transformative leadership must also embody a practical approach to patient care that involves the provision of high quality care and treatment at the bedside (Fedock et.al, 2013). Nurses must be able to provide their patients with a high level of care to encourage patient outcomes in a manner that is consistent with the transformation of nursing practice to promote positive outcomes (Fedock et.al, 2013).

Conclusion

Nurse leaders must demonstrate the importance of different perspectives as a means of influencing outcomes in a positive manner. Transformative leadership must be effective in facilitating nursing success in a variety of practice settings. However, it is important to sustain core values and to provide patients with effective solutions in a practical manner in order to achieve effective outcomes. It is important to recognize that nurses must be successful in their efforts to achieve high quality care and treatment at all times to ensure that patient wellbeing is optimized and care is effective under all possible conditions.
