Nature in Itself Is Art, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 340

Essay

Nature in itself is art. The value of art found in nature could usually be seen within the most unexpected areas. This has been proven within the photographs taken in the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore in parts of northern Wisconsin. The article entitled Record Temperatures Freeze a Path to the Spectacular Lake Superior Ice Caves presents the most spectacular photographs taken from the caves of the island. Kelly Marquardt’s collection of photographs provide a visual value to the grandeur of the area and how it is able to represent what natural art is all about.

It is highly interesting that each work of art was created by nature itself. The changing tides and times have specifically made the presentations more distinctive on what real beauty is. The ice glaciers as if they were sculptured into the walls of the caves. Enhanced by the light coming into the entrance of the secluded areas; these natural works of art appear as elegant chandeliers that cannot be surpassed by any other decoration found in the most elegant hotels in the world. The purity of the design simply gives out a definite reaction that produces awe and wonder as to how the changing climate was able to create such visual aesthetics.

Andy Rathbun’s photograph presenting the glaciers falling from the highest mountain tops provides a worm’s eye-view of each piece of glacier as if documenting the authenticity of its beauty and its design. The solidification of the water as the action was still taking place makes every piece of glacier unique and just a wonderful element to stare at. The amazing element that makes artworks speak out about its background is the real matter that makes a particular piece valuable. In this case, it is the natural makeup of each formed glacier that defines the authenticity of the work itself. Nature’s capacity to make great displays of art specifically speaks so much about the one who has created nature.
