Need to Develop and Promote Alternative Energy Sources, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 295

Essay

For the selected topic (the United States and its need to develop and promote alternative energy sources), the primary audience would be American college and/or university students and researchers with a keen interest in the development and promotion of alternative energy sources. Secondary audiences would be executives and employees currently working for an American-based company that is already deeply involved in developing alternative forms of energy, such as companies that design solar panels, wind turbines, alternative biofuels, and long-life electric battery systems for the automobiles of the future. The reason for these two audiences is because both realize and understand the importance of developing and promoting alternative energy sources in the United States and how the future of the United States as a world power hinges on its ability to adapt to new energy sources as quickly as possible before finite resources like coal and other fossil fuels are depleted.

Of course, in order to convince these two audiences of the importance of developing and promoting alternative forms of energy, the proposed paper will have to be based upon solid scientific evidence and the opinions and viewpoints of experts in the field of alternative energy sources. Since this topic has been covered extensively by scientists, climatologists, engineers, and energy researchers over the last ten years or so in both book form and in academic journals, the amount of material available as primary and secondary sources is almost unlimited which guarantees that the claims made in the proposed paper will be accurate, reliable, and as up-to-date as possible. Certainly, the reading audience expects well-documented facts and a clear direction of thought via the writer, not to mention credible supportive evidence that might be used in the future by another student interested in writing about alternative energy sources.
