A person must be an avid decision maker and understand negotiating skills in order to be an effective leader to change a project for the better. Strategic leaders must keep goals in mind and know how to implement them into a project. Negotiation is the way two or more people reach an agreement all are happy with. Common beliefs, values and cultures help negotiators gain advantage in a changing project situation. Knowing how to proceed is very advantageous for a negotiator. He/She must plan every step along the way and facilitate it into action. He/She must be ready for negative reactions to overcome and make a “win/win” situation happen.
