Pages: 1

Words: 265

Essay
  • The idea of going against the media and social networking was perceived a wrong move for Romney in relation to his campaign.
  • PBS provided their own opinion on the matter by saying that the candidate does not understand how broadcasting and social media is an institution to the new communication options that the new society is becoming highly dependent upon.
  • The Big Bird was used as a symbolism on what broadcasting media was about for the American people for many ages of the country’s history.
  • The value of media was pointed out to have shaped the American society, its people as well as its history.
  • At some point, it was the sesame street culture that defined the indication of culture that the American society is noted for at present. Democracy and all its principles were all at the same time valued in the show and allowed children to see through the matter fully even at an early age.
  • Romney might have placed himself in question when he tried to pick on an American institution such as Big Bird; it was wrong on his part to simply mention matters and degrade the reputation of the show knowing that the said program and the said character educated 90% of the American people.
  • Romney’s attempt to instigate a sense of criticism on the matter placed him in a position against American local education that Sesame Street and PBS is specifically offering the society with.
