Obesity in the US, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 410

Essay

The argument over obesity becoming the ‘thing’ among American youths is assumed to be affecting the general population of children in the said country. The study of Wayne Wisenmandle and his colleagues entitled Childhood Weight, Stature, and Body Mass Index Among Never Overweight, Early-Onset Overweight, and Late-Onset Overweight Groups specifically defines the background issues behind the said assumptive situations of health in the country. They argue in this article how the onset of obesity in childhood being immediately identified could actually prevent further development of such condition on older individuals could actually resolve the current issue of obesity in the United States. Being members of the Division of Human Biology in America as well as the Department of Community Health, the authors of this article take the overall responsibility over presenting valid data about the health condition they hope to discuss about.

Another article that supports the said assumption of facts about children’s health in America is that of Guo and Chumlea’s study on the Tracking of Body Mass Index in Children and its Relation to Overweight in Adulthood. Like the authors of the first article, both Guo and Chumlea are members of the Division of Human Biology as well as the Department of Community Health and Pediatrics. Being instructors in the Wright State University School of Medicine, both authors have the capacity to provide relative information regarding the topic being discussed. Targeting the right issues, these authors are able to provide the most comprehensive truths that are able to provide the most dependable understanding that the readers could trust when it comes to giving attention to the health issue at hand. Creating arguments that present the pros and cons of getting mass index among children to reflect possible onset of obesity among adult members of the community, the authors are able to lead the readers into a distinct comprehension on how obesity develops and how it could be resolved even at an early stage. Stating the same point of presentation of my qualifications and the way I handled the entire research could actually help in validating my own study regarding the same topic regarding the issues of obesity in the United States and how it could be resolved accordingly.
