US Department of Labor’s OSHA recognizes ConocoPhillipsin Westlake, La., for excellence in workplace safety and health

The article is based on the recognition of the ConocoPhillips for having a high level of adherence to the aspects of safety as well as health protection at the workplace. The article is based on illustrating how the company is a prime example of how the aspects of safety in the workplace should be observed as well as maintained. (Todd, 2011)

The US labor department has taken the initiative in acknowledging the efforts that are presented by the corporation in as far as the aspect of safety and health management should be maintained in the workplace. The article provides an illustration of how the aspect of safety and health protection are vital or important factors in the workplace, as they may be the definitive element between life and death at the workplace. (Todd, 2011)

The article does serve to illustrate the general problems that are evident in the workplace, but serve to provide the general example that should be embodied by all corporations, not only countrywide, but also on a global scale. The general example that is provided by the ConocoPhillips company serve as an indication that the corporation is at the forefront of ensuring that the employees are protected as well as are aware of the factors that they must adhere in order to ensure their safety at the workplace.  (Allen, 2011)

In conclusion, the article is not based on illustrating the possible dangers at the workplace, but more so provide an ideology that should be embraced by all corporations so as to provide measures that will ensure that the corporations provide safety to their employees, and in turn the employees have a general understanding of how they must conduct themselves in order to avoid any hazards that may affect their safety or their own health.
