Facing the Challenge of Scarce Oil Resources: A Suggestion to Give Attention to other Energy Products other than Oil

Introduction

Oil is currently considered as the primary source of energy for the major parts of the world. It could not be denied that the popularity of oil towards determining the paths towards industrialization and progress specifically identify well with the condition of positioning that energy corporations located in the Middle East specifically determines the distinct role that they take in relation to fueling the concept of growth that nations fully embrace. Notably though, oil reserves, like other natural resources are bound to be emptied. With the massive use of oil products at present, it is expected that such condition might happen as earlier than expected. Not to mention the fact that oil production has been proven as a threat to the environment. Several instances in history has already proven this fact when particular oil production facilities have undergone particular malfunctions that resulted to the distinct poisoning of other natural resources near the areas where they are situated which usually includes the water [oceans and seas]. With such condition given attention to, it is strongly suggested that modern corporations dedicated to energy production give attention to other options of exploring other energy resources available (Longmuir, 2001). It is expected that through this approach, more could be accomplished especially in relation to developing alternative energy resources. This particular topic shall be given further attention to in the research that follows.

Background of Problem

The world is facing two distinct phenomenon in relation to development at present. It could be considered that somehow, the emergence of industrialization and the dedication of nations towards general progression has become one of the best goals that specifically created a distinct impact on the way humans live at present (Longmuir, 2001). Oil, being the primary element that fuels such progression also distinctively creates a relative impact on how modern industries intend to create connection with major oil producers in the world. With oil reserves situated mostly in the Middle Eastern regions of the world, it could not be denied that energy corporations in the said location are expected to have a great impact on the world’s economy and somehow this is the very reason why most Middle Eastern energy corporations are observed to be the leaders of the energy industry at present (Vassiliou, 2009). The truth is that they control the majority of the pricing culture of oil products in the international market of trade thus making them one of the most distinct controllers of the system.

However, the other phenomenon that the world faces is that of the existence of environmental issues especially when it comes to determining the concept of scarcity of resources. Notably, the sabotage that energy corporations have created towards the different environmental resources around the globe endangers the overall concept of providing the needed fuel for development that the world needs while taking care of the need to give attention to the integrity of the available resources at present (Vassiliou, 2009). Oil reserves are also notably lessening in rate and production of oil seems to be specifically daunting especially in consideration to the protection of the current oil reserves existing in only specific locations of the globe.

The exploration and production of alternative energies could actually make a distinct impact on how the world functions and how the environment is protected at the same time. This would create a relative resolution needed to make progression and environmental preservation meet in the middle. What makes this option seemingly feasible is the fact that people at present know of the facts about environmental degradation and they are more than willing to support other options of energy production that is bound to create a better option of development for the world and its people towards determining a better and sustainable future.

Literature Review

Around 32% of the modern technologies produced at present from automobiles to modern machineries are already produced in relation to the utilization of alternative energy resources such as electricity that comes from solar power generated batteries. Relatively, this particular revolution in the field of technology challenges the production procedures that energy corporations take into account especially when it comes to determining the most common and most efficient sources of energy that could be explored at present. Notably, it could be observed that somehow, this challenge puts them in a position of being in need of exploring different resources available for the production of other energy resources. This particular movement on the part of particular technology developers and innovators actually create a better option for energy corporations to seek other ways of determining their position in the market especially in relation to progressive development and global industrialization.

Some of the alternative energy resources include the following: (a) Solar Energy: Solar energy introduces the use of sunlight being transformed into thermal energy that could later on be develop into electric energyy. At present this particular energy resource has already been one of the most explored options of alternative energies around the globe today. Notably, it could be understood that such reference to such exploration has made it easier for innovators to see different options of developing parts that would specifically make their machines and their products more energy efficient. (b) Wind Energy: This option intends to give a distinct possibility on the utilization of wind energy as source of power that could actually power up machines and create electricity that could be distributed to homes. Several areas around the globe are already benefiting from this option of energy development and somehow, these areas are able to lessen their rate of utilizing electricity resources coming from oil-products. (C) Geothermal Energy: This energy comes from the utilization of the internal heat of the earth to be able to empower structural heating especially on large constructed structures. Notably, the development of this particular power resource entails to create a connection when it comes to lessening the use of large oil resources to heat up large structures during the cold days. (d) Biofuel and/or ethanol: Derived from plants, this fuel is currently undergoing massive research and development. It is assumed that with the emergence of this particular alternative energy being utilized in actual practical operations in technology and industries would make a more extensive way of producing renewable fuel; something that oil production might not be able to accomplish.

Based from these particular examples of developmental energy resources, it could be noticed that the world is all ready for the engagement on different options of utilizing other energy resources apart from oil. It could be realized that somehow, such readiness should actually make it possible for corporations producing energy to understand the need to decide on determining a better way of developing other sources of energy if they actually want to keep their stats in the field of international trading options. The competitive stand they take especially in remaining as one of the leaders in fueling the progression and industrialization of the world might be taken away from them if they do not take the option of exploring other energy resources. The high consideration on the development of technologies that product the machines and facilities that could empower the utilization of the alternative energies are being explored by other energy corporations apart from the ones in the Middle East (Mitchell, 2010). Notably, such option points out the transition of leadership from oil producers towards the creators of sustainable technologies might endanger the position of Middle Eastern energy producers and put the new names of other corporations in the least of the most promising corporations in the field of energy production and development.

Conclusion

Basing on a business-wise decision, current energy corporations need to understand the need to explore their options and thus become more effective in the way they handle their business, its possible failure in the future while exploring its opportunities to expand its possibility of creating other energy resources that the world needs to flourish towards progress. Embracing such challenge shall give the energy corporations a chance to prolong their life in the industry and improve their role in determining better ways of developing several options of energizing the capacity of the world to embrace progress while still enhancing the capacity of the environment and its resources to be preserved accordingly.

Making a definite transition on the way they operate as business organizations and as major operators towards the development of the world and the existent factors that improve the way of human living would reestablish their values towards creating cleaner energy resources and become more effective in determining considerations that are specifically dedicated to protecting the environment. Cleaner and more sustainable energy resources are sure to create a great impact on how technological developments are taken into account. Notably, it is through this transition of attention that people and energy corporations would be able to go hand in hand in determining better courses of protecting the earth’s major reserves for the sake of future use and for the sake of preserving the earth itself for a better life that would be left for generations that would emerge in the future.

Overall, not only will the energy corporations assure their organizations of development and growth, they would also be able to become a distinct source of competence on how the world and its resources could be preserved thus preserving life at the same time. Taking into account this particular option of development would create a better option of living for the people and a better value of existence for energy corporations. It shall better identify the value that they serve not only for the sake of improving the development options for the world and its communities but also creating better options of determining life and its worth in relation to balance and sustainable progress.

It could be considered that the current situation on earth and the impending damage that industrialization has over the lives of the people and the preservation of resources on earth calls for a new aspect of seeing how energy resources should be produced. Oil corporations could do better apart from specifically being determined to push through for the use of oil as means of energy resource. Exploring alternative energy resources as part of such development is expected to make a great difference on the matter.
