Research Paper

Organizational change has been affected by information technology commonly known as (IT). The change in consulting on organizational has been restructured by the discoveries in technology such that dynamics are experienced in service delivery consulting services. This has resulted to work organization shifts. The work organizational consulting has created proper structuring of organization at the work place. Consulting is delivered in the most accessible and effective way (Lowe and Guy, 1999). This harnesses the ideas and functions of information technology. Through information technology, organizations can access information on structuring work place with ease and not necessarily involving organizational consultants. This is because organizational structuring and framework is accessible. However, organizational consulting firms have utilized advanced technology to render their services to organization’s work structure.

The process of organizational change has been enhanced advancement in technology. Technology is relevant to economic success and employers use IT more which result to the invention of new approaches in terms of service offering, and new products (Lowe and Guy, 1999). These inventions and IT change the skills that employers need while substituting some other works with computers. It creates high-quality services and need for high skill labor. The use of technology is correlated to new workplace organization with specified and broader job responsibilities for workers, self-managing teams and centralized decision making.

Technology and new organization are related with skills of workers and quality of service delivery. Together, the results point the importance of organizational changes being stimulated by technology in the changing demands for workers of different types. The changes brought through technology are quite promising and give positive results. This is because it gives quality products or services as well as enhancing improved and specialized skill. This increases the level and volume of productivity and economic development (Masters, 2000).

Various models and soft wares are sued to facilitate organizational change. This includes the capability maturity model commonly known as (CMM), TickIT, Trillium, and the Bootstrap (Humphrey, 2009). These soft wares are ideal in implementing organizational change. Technology will in future increase productivity and even substitute human labor. This will create ease in organizational change management. There is a possibility of technology to shape this management in the future.
