Organizational Problem, Essay Example

Pages: 2

Words: 558

Essay

The most challenging problem that I have encountered in the organization that I am working with is the emerging trends in information technology. The use of information technology and internet are the main factors incorporated in every company or business organization. The challenge is the training of employees to cop up with the frequent changes in information technology.  Since information technology changes without prediction, an organization should train the employees after some time on the emerging trends in information technology. The organization I am working with do not offer any training to the employees on the emerging trends in information technology. The employees are facing challenges of difficulties when using the current equipments related to information ion technology. The organization is forced to outsource many services related to information technology and other technical services from outside companies. However, the company is forced to incur more expenses in outsourcing the services instead of training its employees and offering the necessary equipments.

It is the responsibility of the management in the organization to make sure that the employees are trained such that they remain updated on the emerging trends in information technology. Information technology is an important factor in the organization. It is needed in every activity that is carried out in the organization. For example, marketing, communication, sharing of resources, monitoring employees, central management, and monitoring of machines. The organization needs information technology and the internet when advertising its products since inline marketing is the most appropriate as it covers wide geographical area. It is also important when communication with customers, suppliers, and even within the organization. Information technology enables the staff in an organization to share files and resources and reduce wasting of time when moving to different offices. Information technology can help the organization to monitor its employees by making them sign in and out using their personal numbers. The organization can use computers to monitors the operation or various machines in the organization. The computer will help to show any faultiness when there is any breakdown of the machine. Information technology can help the organization to manage different business centrally by making them operate on a central station.

It has been expensive for the organization to outsource most of these services as they are required continuously in the organization. The management should avoid outsourcing the services from the outside companies. The only way to avoid outsourcing is to offer proper and frequent training to the employees working on the information technology department. Since the organization cannot stop its operations such that it can train the employees, it outsources the service as it trains the employees. The organization will save more money because the organization will train the employees at the initial stage. The subsequent trainings will occur only when there is an emerging trend in information technology, and it will be cheaper as compared to outsourcing the services. Training the employees on the emerging trends of information technology is not only important to the organization but also the individual employees. The employees will acquire more skills and experience and in the field which will help them in their personal lives outside the organization. Since the employees cannot work in the organization in their lives, they will employee the acquired knowledge in other places of work. However, information technology remains an important factor in organizations and even personal lives.
