Organizational Quality Improvement Plan, Research Paper Example

Pages: 1

Words: 353

Research Paper

Quality improvement requires a specific strategic approach that will be effective in meeting the needs of the client base and in supporting a dynamic that will have positive benefits for healthcare practice. This process requires an examination of existing methods that will be useful in this process and in supporting the objective to improve quality on a continuous basis at the healthcare level. The use of prior evidence is likely to have an impact on this strategy and in supporting a dynamic whereby patient care outcomes will be supported by existing outcomes that have been successful (LoBiondo-Wood & Haber, 2014). There must be a greater emphasis on the continued growth and development of a model that will improve organizational quality that also embraces effective leadership and a dynamic process that will positively influence how organizational performance is addressed (Mitra, 2012). A successful quality improvement-based plan will utilize such factors as control charts and statistical analyses to identify areas where improvements are required, along with other factors that will demonstrate the value of quality in promoting efficiency and quality of care.

It is expected that the chosen method will be used to enable individuals to adapt to specific circumstances and to recognize that each activity that they conduct must have high quality performance in mind, as this is the only means of ensuring that attention to quality performance is maximized at all times. This method will also demonstrate the importance of developing quality-based measures that will have positive and lasting benefits for the organization and will also alleviate some of the stress and burden that is associated with quality-based performance. A commitment to quality is the critical priority and requires nurses and other healthcare providers to support a framework that embraces quality-based performance measures on a continuous basis at all times. This will reflect a greater need to acknowledge organizational performance as essential to the success of patient care quality and outcomes.
