Essay

In every organization, employees must be recognized and awarded in every achievement they make for the organization. Despite the fact that employees are paid salaries and wages, theory Y should be applied in the organizations. This will motivate employees to work hard to meet their targets and accomplish the assigned duties in time. This will be greatly beneficial to the organization in that it will enhance the increased client base owing to its efficiency. Conversely, the client satisfaction will be optimum due to the organization’s provision of high quality work and services. It is important to note that these services are only achievable because of the employees’ hard work in their quest to get incentives.

The incentives used by organizations to motivate their employees include seminars, trips, recognition letters, and promotions. When employees fail to achieve their targets or perform their tasks in unconvincing manner, the organization may decide to organize a seminar. The seminar will motivate and capacity-build employees to work hard and meet their targets. The employees will acquire some skills from the seminars, which will boost their careers both at individual and organizational level. In addition, various motivational trips can be organized for the employees by the management in bid to motivate them. Consequently, the employees will give their best in order to meet their targets, hence provide quality products and services.

When the management of the organization promotes some employees owing to their exemplary performance, it will set a precedent to other employees who will in turn work hard to gain promotions too. As a result, the employees will provide robust quality services to the clients, thus, meet their targets in a timely manner. This will lead to the increased number of customers hence the increased profitability. Organizations should employ this method as a tool of improving their services, expand, and meet their targets.
