Climate Change

Climate change is a long-term change, which occur on the statistical distribution of weather patterns over a long timeranging from decades to millions of years. Climate change is natural, but its effects affect plants, animals, human beings, and many other organisms. Certain gases emitted from the land to the space cause climate change. The gases include carbon dioxide, methane, water vapor, and nitrous oxide. Some of the gases are emitted through natural activities like respiration and volcano eruptions (Dryzek & David 56). Most of the gases are emitted through human activities likeburning of fossils and clearing land for cultivation. I the industrial revolution came with many human activities, which increased climate change by a third.

The knowledge I acquired in my class will assist me, as I will apply in the field to reduce human activities causing climatechanges. This is because, in my class, I learned about the cause of climate change. In industries, the burning of coal andother fuels will emit gases, which cause the climate change. The gases emitted should be trapped and be treated by beingneutralized before being released to the atmosphere. This will reduce the climate changes caused by the emissions. Thehuman activities of burning fossils and any other product that emits carbon dioxide and other gases should be reduced. This is by devising other ways of disposal as recycling to reduce the emissions caused by burning.

It is important to control climate change because it affects the economic development, which leads to poverty. This is because when volcano eruption occurs, the emissions will destroy crops and other human structures. This will makehuman beings be homeless and no food to eat. As a result, it will have affected the economic development worldwide (Hansen & Makiko 94). Increase in population growth will have an impact on climate change because human activitiescause the changes. Controlling population growth will have an influence on reducing climate change. The release of carbon from the earth has been a great problem world wide as it increases the carbon dioxide gas on the space, which causes climate changes. It has been difficult for the emission of carbon to be controlled because most of the emissions are caused by natural activities like volcano eruptions.
