Personal Goal Paper, Essay Example

As a student in this course, I hope to apply my understanding of the skills that are important for early learners to develop during their education. To do so, I hope to gain a better understanding of the development of curricula and how to enact these requirements in practice on a daily basis. As a teacher, it is important for me to make these learning components come alive and my personal goal is to make the content engaging and understandable for diverse learners. Furthermore, I wish to gain planning skills that will allow me to develop more effective lessons to apply practices that will help me provide children with special needs that require specialized assistance without holding them to lower standards.

While I have a basic understanding of diversification is for learners with different needs, I want to learn better practices to help appeal to individuals with diverse learning styles. For example, some students are better visual learners and some are better at learning through experiences. It is important to teach students in a manner that will allow them to remember the information they learn, so I hope to build my teaching ability by using different instructional methods to meet these needs. However, I have to increase my ability to develop creative lessons and learning ideas that will be engaging and memorable. Since students have different interests, I also want to learn how to incorporate their interests into the development of the lesson. I believe that this course focuses on aspects of this goal that will help me be a better teacher. Therefore, I look forward to developing my professional ability as a student in this course.
