Person’s Behavior and Individuality, Essay Example

Pages: 1

Words: 314

Essay

What influences a person’s behavior and individuality? While there exists moral values that are often taught to individuals as they grow into maturity, there also exists the value of experience and personal learning. Most often than not, the latter carries a much heavier load as it affects the entire thinking and behavior of an individual; being directly involved in a situation rather than knowing how matter turn out to be based on theories alone specifically create a distinct process affecting how an individual becomes accustomed to particular matters in life. For instance, while moral is taught in the home as well as principles of what is right and what is wrong, the outside situations in the society often challenges the ground of morals that the individual has been primarily molded with at home. If such molding is weak, then it could be expected that a change of attitude and perception about life could encompass the being of the said person.

The fact is that different situations often shape a person in several different patterns as well. For instance, when a person is accustomed to living a life that is based on two cultures, he becomes practically familiar with the customs and traditions of both cultures thus basing most of his decisions on the said grounds, usually weighing what would be more practical for him to take, he makes personal compromises on which culture he should honor. Notably, it could be assessed that it is because of this condition that people carry on a particular personal culture that defines them individually. These cultures are often developed through time and through taking lessons from their experiences. This is the reason why people develop specific unique perceptions about life and the different matters surrounding it based on particular situations they have been able to experience. Through this, a  person continues to reshape himself and his ideals through time.
