It is essential that the process involving the Customer Discount Awards be adequately structured. This will involve 4 main processes and will be structured in the following order;

• Customer Discount Rewards
• Record Customer Activities
• Send Promotions
• Generate Point Redemption Coupons
• Generate Customer Reports

The third process, ‘Generate Point Redemption Coupons’, is large and quite intensive. As such, it can be broken into smaller sub-processes. These processes include:

3.1 Separate into Categories: this will take the ‘Customer Activities’ data and classify the purchases into three, ‘TV Purchase’, ‘Computer Purchase’ or ‘Other Purchase’.

3.2 If Wall Mounted Create Coupon: in the case where a purchased TV is suitable for mounting on the wall, an instant coupon is generated at the cash register and handed to the client.

3.3 Create Coupon for Memory: a computer purchase will instantly generate a coupon for the client so that they can purchase more storage memory. There will be a database that matches computer memory to computers.

3.4 Create Totals by Product Group: all other sales are grouped by product and constantly updates the ‘Customer Activity Records’ on every entry made.
