The human body comprises several biological systems. These systems perform specific functions. Cardiovascular it is a system that majorly transports blood within the body. Blood vessels, hearts, and blood form the main components of this system. The blood contains nutrients and oxygen. The heart is located between the two lungs. Its role in the system is to pump blood to the blood vessels. The left middle side of the chest is where the heart is situated. The heart is closely equal to the size of a fist. It looks like a rough cone. The whole seat is covered by a fibrous material known as the pericardium. The heart has four chambers. The left chamber receives oxygen enriched blood from the lungs, while the right section accepts blood from the entire body. The left ventricle is thick to pump blood to the whole blood. Blood vessels are tubes that carry blood in the body; they include capillaries, veins, and arteries. Veins carry blood with low oxygen. Capillaries connect arteries and veins. The aorta forms the largest artery, while pulmonary vein forms the central vein. Valves are located in veins to prevent the backflow of blood. The system is structured in a way that facilitates transportation, protection, and regulation of chemical processes.
The lymphatic system comprises a network of organs and tissues (Moore & Bertram, 2018). These tissues and organs help to destroy toxins, unwanted materials, and wastes in the body. Transportation of fluid is the central role of this system. The fluid is comprised of white blood cells which contest contaminations in the body. The method comprises vessels similar to the veins, arteries, and capillaries of the circulatory system. Lymph nodes are connected to these vessels. Lymph is filtered in these vessels. Spleen, tonsils, thymus, and adenoids form this lymphatic system. The excess fluids are removed from this system and returned to the blood.
The reproductive system helps human beings to reproduce. The system contains male and female reproductive systems. The male reproductive systems are the testes and penis. These organs produce sperms. The sperms are stored in the epididymis. The sperms are deposited to the vagina by the penis during ejaculation. The male parts are located outside the body. The female reproductive system comprises the vagina, uterus, oviduct, cervix, and fallopian tube. Ovaries produce egg cells. These eggs fuse with sperm cells during the conception process. This fusion creates an embryo that implants in the uterus. These fertilized eggs grow in the uterus. The female parts are located inside the body of females.
The urinary system plays a vital role in maintaining homeostasis in human beings. This system is used to dispose of urea which is a waste product in the human body. This area is formed when particular foods in the body are altered (Bala, 2016). The system is comprised of several parts of the biological structure organs. Two pairs of ureters, kidneys, sphincter muscle, bladder, and urethra form this system. The ureter is the path where urine from the kidney travels to the bladder. The urethra is the organ where urine exits the body. Respiratory involves breathing. Through this process, human beings can bring in oxygen and expel carbon dioxide. Diaphragm, lungs, and trachea form this system. This system is found in the upper chest of the human body. The parts are located inside.
The digestive system comprises a series of organs connected to facilitate the breakdown and absorption of food in the body. The waste product of this system is expelled from the body through the anus—small intestine, mouth, stomach, esophagus, rectum, and large intestine from this system. The mouth contains chemicals that digest starch. The stomach has acid, which digests proteins. Salts and mineral salts are absorbed in the small intestines. Liver and pancreas also important in this system. They yield juices that facilitate the digestion of food.
