Healthcare policy influences not just the amount residents must pay for treatment, and also access to care and quality of care, which may affect overall health. The growing expense of healthcare has put an increasing burden on disposable earnings as well as on public budgets (Davis and Pear 711). For example, the Healthcare Coverage Act was signed into law by President Obama in 2010. As a result of the legislation, more Americans now have access to affordable health coverage. Beginning in 2010, the law’s provisions have been gradually implemented, especially affecting the insurance business. Supporters of the changes claim that they would reduce prices and enhance accessibility to healthcare, whereas detractors claim that the law will raise expenses and degrading quality of treatment.

In 28 states, rules and regulations restrict registered nurses (NPs) from practicing to the greatest capacity of their degree and training, prohibiting patients from completely benefiting from their service. NPs are required to participate in the legislative process when changes are made to state legislation and regulations (Davis and Pear 711). Political participation of NPs may help nursing workforce and nursing organisations to modify state norms and regulations. Objectives: To characterize the political effectiveness and involvement of US NPs and obtain understanding into the characteristics connected with political engagement. Our survey was sent to a random sample of 2,020 NPs from the America (Cubanski and Neuman 581).

The government could use health policies as a regulatory tool to command and control the behavior of a certain targeted audience by observing the group and applying consequences if it refuses to fulfill. Regulation policies comprise the ban of smoking in public areas, the regulatory frameworks for medical professionals, and regulatory approvals for new medicines. Many state insurance authorities oversee health insurers to ensure that clients aren’t cheated out of coverage due to an industry’s bankruptcy, high rates, or other unethical business activities. Regulating private health insurance coverage is also possible. For instance, accreditation service companies like Joint Commission conduct audits of hospitals to assure consistency with all requirements established by doctors.
